There was a friendly, thoughtful owner who showed us around and she had made cake and left chocolates ready for us. Much appreciated after our long hot journey. I'm pretty sure that the cake was Bara Brith but it was absolutely delicious. The annex was clean, homely and comfortable and everything we needed was there including a bed with a comfortable mattress and a good amount of storage. The garden was really lovely and we spent quite a bit of time trying to identify the birds and their singing. Lidl supermarket a short walk down the hill. Good base for visiting places of interest. If you leave the property turning left along the main road, in a short while there's a lovely view looking down over the estuary.
The only thing that could have been tricky was the entrance to the property as it's on the corner where two roads meet. Luckily my husband has excellent spatial ability and it wasn't a problem !

The host is very helpful and considerate. The cottage was comfortable and it is surrounded by beautiful plants, shurbs and flowers.
I think the exact address how to find the property should be given to people who has paid. We spent at least 30 minutes going up and down the street trying to find the address. I was getting very angry and disappointed until I heard from the landlord. I also believe that Syke should give the landlord's phone number to the person who has paid in case of emergencies to contact them directly than Syke. This is how it was with Booking.com. The minute I paid, I was given the landlord's phone. I like that.

Fabulous gardens, sadly the weather stopped us from enjoying them to the fullest if their extent, but just a great place lose to the centre of Holywell, but you wouldn’t know it as it’s is just so peaceful and tranquil.
My only negative is getting yeh car in and out of the property, the entrance is right on a junction, so you need to take care going in and out, but believe me it’s not worth worrying about, this place is fabulous and excellent value for money.
