Stayed in this hotel for the past 2 summers, nice hotel with great breakfast options, rooms are small but that is normal in New York, we had just travelled from Texas where the rooms are huge. The Greystone has a lovely rooftop bar serving great cocktails and is just around the corner from 5th Ave and 5 minutes walk to the lovely Byrant. Location is super.
I think the front desk need to relook at their check-in process, before they ask for a Credit Card they should at a minimum welcome clients to New York or even ask how was their trip - no mention of where the breakfast was or that there was rooftop bar, only I know this hotel and knew this was not the norm, I wouldn't have been very impressed - they need to go back to basics.

Breakfast was very good and the restaurant was very nice.
Our stay was great. The only thing I noticed was that the ceiling looked unfinished. I thought I saw bare sheet rock on the ceiling with old water stains (room 1905).
