About this condo rental

NOTE: This is generally a 30 day rental with rates reflecting that, but I may occasionally allow a shorter stay AT A HIGHER nightly rate (since i have to block out the remainder of the month). Rates shown are based on 30 day rental. Just down the hill and across the golf course from the renowned Omni Grove Park Resort and Spa, small 1BR apartment provides an amazing location at an affordable price. It is situated in a classic 1920s dwelling, originally the home of author Thomas Wolfe's sister Mable and her husband. This small, quiet unit has its own private entrance at the side/back of the dwelling and its own small porch under the trees. You will be extremely well located for beautiful walks, and only a mile and a half from Asheville's vibrant downtown area. There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance as well. Be sure to walk up the hill to explore Grove Park Inn (Omni) - dine there, have a drink, or just stroll with a coffee to experience this magnificent structure. The apartment consists of a living room, small bedroom with built-in full size bed, full kitchen and bath. It maintains the charm and character of yesteryear while still providing more modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable. A shared washer dryer is available for your use in the common basement of the building (shared with long term tenants there). There is one off street parking spot reserved for your use or parking available immediately adjacent to the unit on the street. Pet considered with additional fee… please inquire prior to booking.

It was a good location; close to everything. Problem with sink and bathtub knobs not turning in the right direction. Major problem with the toilet backing up the last several days when there wasn't even a plunger and nobody could come out to fix it.

I enjoyed my stay in this small apartment. It had everything I needed. The shower had great water pressure. The kitchen had all the basics. The house is beautiful. I really enjoyed jogging in the area.

Wake up to birds serenading you every day. This tiny apartment is on the ground level of an older home in the charming, wooded Grove Park Inn neighborhood, which is close to downtown. You'll have everything you need in this apartment. It's a bit dated, but comfortable for one person and the location can't be beat!

I needed a place for a month between selling one house & buying another and this cozy little flat more than met my needs. Its large windows let in a good amount of light and its second floor makes it feel like a tree house. The little back porch is delightful for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. As a resident of Asheville for more than 17 years, I can tell you this is in a fabulous neighborhood, perhaps my favorite. It has interesting historic homes, is quiet at night, great for walking, lots of nice neighbors, dog-friendly and walking distance to a new bakery, a terrific taco place, a delicious ice cream shop as well as Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Harris Teeter. Less than a 15-minute walk to downtown Asheville and easy access to I-240, yet it's away from the noise and commotion. Having stayed in other short term or vacation rentals in many different countries, as well as across the US, I will mention that a little bit TLC is needed here and there. However, that's reflected in the reasonable price. And that said, there are plenty of nice touches throughout and whatever it lacks in poshness & sophistication is more than made up for by its authenticity, unlike the cookie-cutter hotels downtown. Recommended for solo travelers and visitors looking for a place that will permit having a dog. Especially worth mentioning – single female travelers should feel safe and comfortable here.

This cozy one bedroom apartment that sits right outside of downtown Asheville is perfect for either singles or couples! Apartment is equipped with anything you would need for the perfect temporary home (dishes, pots&pans, smart tv, towels, etc). Gorgeous area to go walking around in and highly recommend visiting Grove Park Inn for drinks if you have the time! Sherri is a great host and will always respond to answer your questions as necessary.
