Great stay in the Pyrenees

We liked the authentic feel to it! It was also nice and cool to avoid the hot sun. Was clean and tidy.

The front door had a great lock, but you really have to push hard to open it - just good to know so future people don’t feel like they are breaking the door!

Disappointed with communication with owner and house was freezing cold when we came.

The location is ideal. Interesting places to see in the neighborhood: a church, views of the snow capped Pyrenees mountains, the start point of a walking/bike trail, a look out point where you can see the city, a "hairpin" road where you can watch cars go around it, with a view of the city below. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable bed, parking on the street or the carpark in front of the house. A playground in the garden at the back if you travel with kids.

Check in was at 3pm and we arrived at 3.30 but because we didn't receive instructions on how to get in, we assumed somebody will be there to assist us. No one around so I called the tel.number a few times, emailed, sent an sms and finally messaged Booking.com for assistance. After 20 min. the owner sent a message to call him. We don't speak French and he doesn't speak English but we managed to get in the apartment, which was very cold! No welcoming warmth in that cold winter day. It took a while to get the place warm but the toilet stayed freezing cold the 3 days we stayed there. With all the heaters on, the stove top and kitchen exhaust while cooking, I used the water boiler and the electricity went out 😑 My husband tried to figure out which fuse tripped while I called and texted the owner. No reply. After 15 minutes in the dark cold house (till wearing our coats), husband managed to fix and the electricity came back. We would be sitting in a dark cold house if we waited for the owner to respond because he texted back, "What is your problem?" after the electricity came on. With all the good reviews, I think the place is perfect for summer and warm days and not so much in the winter months. By the way, no internet still (someone posted that there is already. Not true). I texted the owner to confirm. No reply. Communication with him was so bad.
