We had a wonderful stay at Het Dijkje. Joris and Carola were very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They kindly allowed us to check in 1–2 hours earlier than the usual check-in time, which was very helpful. The location is lovely, surrounded by nature and a very peaceful atmosphere. There is open space in front of the house, which gives the place a wonderful sense of openness and space. There is also a small farm at the back, adding to the calm and natural character of the surroundings. It was a great place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The accommodation itself is a charming two-level space. The ground floor has an open kitchen and hall, while the bedroom is on a cosy mezzanine-style half floor, accessible by stairs. The hut-like structure gives the place a unique and charming character. Connectivity was also very convenient. I used public transport during my stay and found the connections to be quite good. There are Jumbo and Lidl supermarkets within about 800 metres, and a Lime e-bike stand is only around 100 metres away, making it easy to get around. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and honestly have nothing to complain about. Joris and Carola made us feel very welcome, and I would be happy to stay here again. I would definitely recommend Het Dijkje to anyone looking for a peaceful, natural, and well-connected place to stay.

The staircase leading to the sleeping area is quite steep, with relatively narrow steps and limited space to place your feet. This may be a little inconvenient for elderly guests or anyone who has difficulty using steep stairs.

Přístup hostitele by výborný. Přivítání a předání apartmánu bez problémů a naprosto jasné. Hostitel nám dal rady na pobyt a jak se kde dostat. Naprosto nadstandartní byla možnost zapůjčení jízdních kol zdarma (kola sice starší a jen pro městskou jízdu , ale zcela dostačující). Spaní je v podkroví, takže ve velmi teplých dnech je tam horko a nepomůže ani instalovaná klimatizace. Hostitel to vyřešil ventilátorem, nicméně ten není možné nechat puštěný celou noc. Náš pobyt ale byl v rekordních vedrech. Umístění apartmánu je v dobré dojezdové vzdálenosti kolem do centra Utrechtu, na hrad i jinde. V blízkosti prodejna farmářských výrobků, pivovar s výborným jídlem a s velkým výběrem piva, nákupní centrum. Hned vedle apartmánu je rekonstrukce římského hradiště Castellum Hoge Woerd. Doporučuji prohlédnout. Vstup je zdarma, hodně interaktivní. Minimálně půldenní záležitost.

De afstand tot Leidsche Rijn centrum en het Maxima-park.

Een beetje: het steile trapje naar het slaapvertrek en het dakraam met rolgordijn dat lastig te openen was.
