Staff were very helpful and the food was excellent.

The car parking was expensive and we experienced difficulty trying to pay.

Sea view midst a row of decent restaurants, with comfortable and large bed / room. Some extra touches to make you feel welcome and special too.

The location was superb. We had rooms, one dog-friendly. Our daughter stayed in the dog friendly room and found it spacious, attractive and practical. Our non-dog room was quite attractive though the pillows were a bit flat. It also is a reality that it's not really a hotel as such (no phone in room, no room service or housekeeping really) and more of a place with rooms. However, having the lift near the alley/street was extremely useful in terms of luggage and also dog activities, and the promenade was lovely and so helpfully close. There also are many green spaces to walk a dog nearby. The only downside for us was breakfast one morning. Our daughter and I opted for the buffet. When we went up to get some items the server told us to go back to our table as it wasn't ready. She wasn't especially nice about it. We had to ask for fruit and she eventually came to our table with a bowl of uncut nearly frozen fruit--the kiwis were frozen nearly solid and completely inedible. There were no pastries as promised in the description; when we inquired we were told shortly that the freezer was broken (!). Someone could have walked 15 feet from the DR and gotten pastries at any number of bakeries nearby. Truly, it was the worst buffet we've encountered anywhere and made worse by the hostile to downright rude waitress. We did not eat in the hotel again. Other than that, personnel were nice enough and the rooms very practical and cheerful looking. We would stay again with a pet, but not dine there.
