We both loved the location and the lovely view. Lots of room, the master bedroom was air conditioned and the house comfortable for September temperatures. A welcome bottle of wine with nibbles was much appreciated. We didn’t use the cooking facilities as we ate out but there was a great coffee machine that we enjoyed. The owner provided a change of towels after a couple of days, which was very thoughtful. Also we were able to leave luggage after the normal checkout time, which saved us the hassle of carrying it around before we travelled to Genova.
Overall we found that Sestri Levante provided an authentic Italian experience. With two bays to choose from, plenty of choice for beach lovers. As a base to see the Cinque Terra, a good choice. To save money, buy a ticket to Levanto and use a cinque terra card from there. Very busy at the weekend, very quiet during the week.
Third floor was a challenge with heavy luggage, but the owner kindly offered assistance from a relative if we required it. A few extra sockets for mobile charging would have been helpful.
