We loved the look of the cottage from the outside and the lovely flowers as well. We loved how close it was to Bowness-on-Windermere and all the shops and restaurants. We loved the garden and chairs outside although we didn't get a chance to sit on them as the weather wasn't great. We loved the decor of the whole cottage, the kitchen had a table in it and we sat and enjoyed meals there. Everything had been well thought out so that you had all utensils you needed. There was also special extras like tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, washing up liquid, cloths, cleaning utensils. The bedrooms were decorated beautifully. We loved the fact that it was also up and downstair. The bathroom was beautiful with lovely modern fittings and a good shower. The living room area was so comfy with two 2 seater couches, tv. All rooms had lovely warm curtains. When we entered the cottage it was lovely and warm which we appreciated as we were freezing after travelling for several hours. The owners kept the cottage warm for us and it was just such a lovely comfortable cosy home. We wished it was ours. We also found the neighbours in the area all very friendly. In fact everyone we bumped into and met along the way in the Lake District were so well mannered and kind to us. We loved our holiday there and hopefully we can return for another holiday sometime in the near future.
We didn't like having to return home.

This is exactly as described a rustic quaint little cottage. A stones throw from lake Windermere.
Loads of places nearby to eat and drink.
Our host saved us a car parking space even moving his own to let us have it.

Due to being Christmas period we brought quite a bit of food, so maybe an additional freezer instead of small ice box would be good although we did manage

We received a warm welcome from the gentleman looking after the property. The location was fabulous. The cottage was exactly what we were hoping for…….
It would have been great to have milk for arrival, bathroom soap and a hairdryer.
