I first visited here over 10 years ago, and my recent visit was just as I had remembered it. The nicest rooms I have seen in Kenya. So spacious and comfortable. Very classy restaurant. The chefs went out of their way to cater for my parents with strict dietary requirements. The ability to walk around the grounds with the wild animals is such a treat. Love coming here!

Taxi from Safari in Maasai Mara. Nice welcome. Evening walk with the naturalist. Buffet food was excellent. I'd bought a bottle of wine on route and corkage was reasonable. The room was nice. Beds were excellent. Directly on the lake with loads of animals in the grounds included zebra, waterbucks, giraffe, donkeys, vervet and colobus monkeys. Lots of birds and hippos in the lake / on the grounds at night (on the right side of an electric fence). After an excellent buffet breakfast, we did a lake tour. Then we used the pool and facilities until it was time for a taxi to nairobi.
Rooms were a little tired looking. In the evening we went out to see the hippos. A very nice man took us on the tour with a torch. It took a few minutes but cost us quite a lot - probably this shouldn't incur a fee!

We're really glad we chose to stay here for our first Kenyan trip. The best thing about the hotel has been the staff; Diana, Margaret and alll the staff have been attentive, kind, helpful and a real pleasure to meet.
Our room was comfortable, a decent size and had a great view of wildlife around.
We really enjoyed the restaurant, the variety of the buffet and the fact there was a variety of choice with regards to vegetables and healthy options (which is sometimes difficult to find). The restaurant staff were always quick, friendly and provided a great service.

Everything about the property was just too good. The staff, the property, surroundings, food spread particularly (particularly important for us since we are vegetarians and had a 5 year old to take care of).
Staff was so considerate - whether my daughter had food, what would she like… they were super duper caring which added a lot of value for us.
