We came for her daughter’s wedding on Oak Island. The house looks very new, and it’s nicely decorated. Owners were easy to communicate with. One should know that there is no iron or ironing board or hairdryer. Fortunately, we could borrow these from other wedding guests. Since we were there for a wedding, we definitely needed to iron some items before the event. There was only one set of towels per person. We are the owners of two vacation rentals so we are familiar with how much work it is to share cottages with others. The owners do a very good job making their cottage a welcoming place to stay.

We came to Oak island for the Pledge the Pink Breast Cancer walk. The home was in an ideal location, short golf cart ride to everywhere we needed to be! Clean, spacious and VERY organized! We loved resting our legs sitting on the back porch each evening. Would definitely come back!

This house is so cute. Open concept home, with board games and toys for little ones. Love that there was enough dishwashing detergent, cleaning supplies, hand soap for entire weekend stay. Communication was quick. Check In was easy. Need to cross busy road to get to beach, but not a huge deal. I would say it’s about a 12 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely book here again.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at this vacation home recently. The home mirrors the description on VRBO. It is beautiful, clean and stocked very well with toiletries, spices, pots, pans, etc. We enjoyed the screened in porch and truly relaxed.

The house is exactly as wonderful as the listing would have you believe. We had a great stay. It’s close to the beach, the downstairs shower, hose for rinsing and covered place to store beach stuff are incredibly convenient. Furniture and beds are comfortable, the back porch is terrific. The only thing maybe I wish I’d known is that you have to cross a busy road to get to the beach. But it’s easy enough to drive over and it didn’t take away from our trip at all. I can’t wait to come back.

A fantastic week, beautiful weather, beautiful home just minutes from the beach! Much closer to the beach in person than going by a map of the area.. Rent a golf cart!! Worth the extra money.. The property is exactly as described (better actually).. Very spacious, even the bedrooms.. Plenty of space to spread out! The host is very responsive and really goes out of her way to make a vacation easier.. The Hodge family

Tranquil Harbor was just as advertised! New construction feel, open kitchen design, and easy access to beach and shops. This was our first time visiting Oak Island, and it was worth the trip! Watching both sunrise and sunset on the beach was one of many highlights.

This home is such a beautiful place! There was plenty of room for everyone! The screened in back porch was favorite place for my family! The furnitire and decor was perfect! We loved that beach access was on the same road. We drove there but walking could easily be done! We woukd definitely rent this space again!

The house was beautiful and Eve we expected it to be. We came this week for a surprise wedding proposal for our son and it was literally the perfect week! The house sits on a quiet street which is nice when you want to sit and relax on one of the porches. It is a very nice walk to the beach every morning and evening, but we rented a golf cart to get to the local coffee shop and the grocery store, as well as the beach if we were going to stay the day. The owner is wonderful. She was very quick to get back with us when we had questions. Our experience was great and we would recommend staying in this house.

This is a fabulous property and a great location in a quiet neighborhood. Only a 0.4mile walk to the beach. Owner very responsive. Everything you need is there and some special touches such as: coffee filters, spices, napkins, and laundry detergent.

The home was exactly as shown and described. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been to be just a bit closer to the beach- but we knew that going into it. We loved the screened in porch! Met some friendly neighbors while walking our pup in the mornings and evenings. Thanks for opening your home for a quick getaway before school started for the kiddos! Great ice-cream, pizza and seafood on the island- and worth catching a sunset at the point. Owners were great communicators - overall great trip!

The beach is so beautiful and literally minutes down the road. So many beach accesses everywhere you turn. Grocery stores are close by, as well as several places to eat. The home's amenities were top of the line and every possible need has been thought of with the design of the home! This property is new with high end features. Super clean and bright. The unit is in an area slowly being converted from trailers to houses, but, the residents are nice and quiet. The beaches are large and beautiful. They are roughly 300 yds away, crossing a busy road. Beach parking is horrendous … you’ll find yourself shuttling your crew to the beach and walking most of the time. FYI, if you park roadside, make sure all wheels are off the pavement (or you will be ticketed). Drainage ditches prevent roadside parking in most areas.
