Fantastic place to stay in Udawalawe. Peaceful almost jungle charming setting but walking distance to basic shops and the Elephant Transit Centre. Dim and his wife are charming, generous and welcoming hosts. The food provided for breakfast is fabulous. The dinners are well worth the small cost and are genuine Sri Lankan cuisine. Dim organises great safaris and we had a wonderful time on a half day safari. Thoroughly recommend this place to stay in Udawalawe.

Best kept secret! A wonderful peaceful experience with the most gorgeous hosts.
Swimming pool at night time looking at the stars.
The garden was lit up at night time and looked like a fairy garden. So beautiful.
The outside shower and bathroom with stone walls and plants!
Hosts organised the elephant safari with breakfast on return.

The uber driver didn't like picking us up as the road had some large bumps! But this is no fault of the property.

The price was exceptional, and the safari was well organised. As far as I could find, there was only a small markup - maybe 1,000-2,000 rupees for the safari, which I found reasonable as it included pickup and drop-off at the accommodation, coffee/tea before the safari, and breakfast after.
The property is a far walk from the town, making dining options limited. The onsite restaurant is overpriced.
