I I live in Costa Rica and just needed a peaceful, comfortable place to sleep for one night before catching an early flight out of SJO. This place was perfect for exactly that. The bed was really comfortable, I had my own private bathroom and a little kitchenette, and there was a TV where I could watch YouTube, relax and fall asleep. They had a hot water kettle and tea bags in the room, but the coffee was brewed for me in the morning out in the main kitchen.
The owner drove me to the airport early in the morning and charged me less than what Uber was quoting, so I definitely recommend asking him about airport transportation instead of automatically booking a taxi or Uber.
I will stay here again!

Very close to the airport. Edgar picked me up and took me back to the airport. Room was clean.
Host wanted money before I was even settled in the room and the bed was hard.

It was quiet and clean
With limited spanish it didnt offer feel good vibes. Not a place to stay if your flight is in evening, unlike hotels or hostels that keep luggage, they wanted $5 and its not a place that i felt i could hangout until evening. They offered to drive to airport for $25. Its a km and Uber was charging about $7.
