Beautiful and peaceful environment, large clean rooms and tons of storage

Spa access and dinner should be booked in advance, (but it wasn’t a big problem)

Fantastic property and location.

Only downside was that there are set hours when children can use the pool and they were extremely limited. The children literally had 1 hour a day to use to pool. First time we have encountered this.

Location and overall experience

Some areas were tired and needed a refresh/clean

Beautiful hotel and a perfect location for us to visit our daughter who lives nearby. Duplex room was perfect for us as we required a room for 3 people. We enjoyed the pool facilities very much. All staff in all departments were exceptionally friendly.

Room was generally poorly maintained. I feel for the level of a 4* hotel it should not be my responsibility to report all of these defects. The rooms were very hot and the air conditioning was not working. 2 fans had been provided but unfortunately this did not help. We slept poorly as a result. Upstairs: * 2 hooks - poorly fitted (loose) and more suited to a garage- were in the bathroom to hang robes on. *No towel rail or other hooks to hang towels. *A bathroom wall up-light towards the shower and toilet did not work so showering was done in dim light. *Bedside reading light (nearest bathroom) was missing. Downstairs: *The socket in the sitting area downstairs does not work so the floor lamp could not be plugged in. (We tried a fan in this socket and it also didn’t work) *Stains all over the rug, it needs replacing.
