Overall it was a lovely and wonderful stay! The property is very secluded surrounded by all the trees. It is very peaceful and just an all around great experience! There’s a nice walking path down to the water, great for cute pictures! And the hot tub is always a hit!

Everything was great including the grill and hot tub. The last part of the trail leading to the lake was a bit rough and we decided not to carry canoes/kayaks down. There’s easy access at a nearby park so this was not an issue. Overall really enjoyed our stay despite the weather being crummy.

The upstairs bedroom had a funny smell that gave me a Allergic reaction. I spoke with the host they said they would send a house keeper over to clean the insecticide off the base boards because the last guest had snacks in the bedroom and there was a ant problem. Part of the reason I booked this place was due to them using more natural supplies in the house...House keeper supposedly came and cleaned but I didn't see or smell any difference.After further investigation I noticed the upstairs shower wasn't draining properly. I looked on the first floor under the shower and saw water behind the paint. If I were a betting man I would bet that the kitchen addition foundation wasn't structured correctly and everything that once was the correct level is no longer. That's all pretty clear to me just by minor investigation and a little know how things work and how mold is formed. I was having a allergic reaction to the mold from the shower not draining properly upstairs. I couldn't get a picture of the mold it's self because that closet where I found the water behind the paint directly below the upstairs shower was locked. Without a picture of the actual mold vrbo won't issue any compensation.After talking with the host multiple times I believe they were aware as long as the guest can't get to the mold to photograph it then there more than likely won't be a issue for them. I have asthma and am highly allergic to mold it's definitely something I try to avoid on vacation
