Very good place to stay

Spacious for our group. Pool was excellent and good temperature. Location fine as we had a car

Nice place and good value with a friendly and helpful hostess.

The property is nice, in a good location (after we finally found it; see below) and very clean. The hostess is very friendly and even offers to shop for her guests for fresh bakery items every morning, a very special service indeed! The communication prior to our visit was excellent. We particularly enjoyed happy hour on the lush and beautiful garden terrace surrounded by exotic plants and shrubs!

(1) We had a hard time finding the place from the main (Bischofswiesen to Berchtesgaden) highway. A sign there would have been very helpful, especially since there are plenty of signs to other establishments on the same corner... Also, even from Sonnleitstrasse the turn-off to the house is very difficult to find since even there is no sign, particularly since the house is set back and invisible from the street and hidden behind another house at the end of a narrow, sharply curved alley. (2) The kitchen with the dining corner (on the first floor) has no privacy at all from the busy parking area directly facing the window; a simple curtain or shutter on that window is really needed! This made sitting there at night quite uncomfortable, particularly since there is no other sitting area in the apartment other than on the balcony that can be reached via the two small upstairs bedrooms. (3) The bedroom with the double bed is especially small, with not much room for even one suitcase or access to the beautiful balcony, and too small for even a chair (although there are two stools but little sitting space).

A wonderful stay. I always would come back.

We could choose rolls, pretzels and many more for delivery to our apartment door in the morning. In Germany, recycling is very confusing to me. This was not a problem, because the hostess helped me with this. It actual was very educational. After a long day of hiking and sightseeing, the outdoor pool was wonderful! The pool was totally covered when the weather was bad and could be opened when the weather was nice. The grounds were exceptionally taken care of with several seating areas.
