Loved the whole place. From the fact what the central area of the courtyard feels intimate and warm, to the nice details of the house, to the different areas (the observation decks, the hammock area, the open air cinema, the bonfire..). And the breakfast was soo good, and it was nice to have it a bit varied from one day to the other! And that view over the hills at sunset.. magical!
The traditional houses are beautiful, the rooms are nicely decorated and have all you need. But keep in mind traditional houses are made of wood, so don’t expect perfect sound proofing

Beautiful views, friendly welcome, opportunity to chill in the countryside.
We stayed in the middle house, a lovely restored house in the compound with all comforts - WIFI, hot shower, toiletries, tea and coffee with a kettle a nice surprise.
Lovely breakfast and meal in the restaurant ( was a bit pricey but you expect this as place is so remote).
Nice to relax in hammocks and to sit around the campfire. Unfortunately no cinema as was a Sunday.
Didn’t expect it to be so isolated. Was a bit nervous travelling on the single track road up and down hills with the edge very close in our small car (i20). Luckily we did not meet anyone as it would be difficult to reverse. Our car did struggle a bit and we had to take a run up to get through the gate. NB
There is an easier way down, by turning left out of the gate and driving on a track for about 5 minutes before you hit a tarmac road so ask for directions to come this way if you have a small car.

The thought through details, the material choices, everyt was perfect! The à la carte restaurant was 10/10. Everything was beautiful!

The food and the views, especially from the top of the hill, are truly impressive and offer nearly 180 degrees of breathtaking scenery. The cleanliness of the place is also a big plus.
Being personally greeted and walked to the room is a thoughtful gesture, but I would have preferred the flexibility to check in at any time and go to the room on my own. For a stay that is not exactly budget-friendly, a premium experience should feel complete in every aspect.
From the start, I knew we’d be late due to traffic. I called ahead, and a woman assured me it was fine to arrive around 11 PM instead of 9, and they’d waive the late check-in fee. This rule was only disclosed after making a non-refundable payment.
Traffic out of Bucharest and highway construction delayed us further. At 9 PM, I called again to say we might arrive around 1 AM and could stay elsewhere. She said it was fine and thanked me for the update.
When we arrived, despite the earlier agreement, the man there insisted on charging us 150 lei per person for late check-in. It felt like this sudden change was based on us arriving in a premium rental car: a classic case of “you look like you have money, so let’s charge extra.”
Inside, we found strange rules, only shared after payment. No music without earphones, no bringing your own food or even water. We were told to drink tap water from a spring and buy everything from their bar.
The next day, while trying to rest, we were disturbed by what seemed like a porn shoot upstairs. The place has zero sound insulation, you can hear everything, even from the bathroom next door.
