This course is ranked #2, as a classic course, in Golfweek’s annual list of public golf courses. Inside the residence, you'll find two bedrooms – one featuring a queen bed and two twins, and the other with two twins. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a shower/bath combo. The spacious family room is adorned with a gas fireplace, and the fully equipped kitchen ensures all your culinary needs are met. Keep cool on warm summer days with the provided air conditioning. Take in the breathtaking views from the rear deck while lounging in Adirondack chairs shaded by a generous umbrella. What a wonderful spot the Shaker Bear Cottage is!! We were in New London for a Colby Sawyer college reunion, and this was the most perfect place to stay. Our hosts Tom and Kem are wonderful, and their cottage is so lovely—-spotless, well appointed with anything we would need (kitchen, bathrooms) and was tradition New England decor. We loved our visit!!!

House is extremely clean and in a great location. Back yard is awesome if you like to hangout outside and enjoy the outdoors with a fireplace. Owners are wonderful, super nice and very helpful. Overall enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay there again.

House was beautiful and had everything we needed. Hosts were amazing! Very friendly and accommodating. They always made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. They even set up the fire pit and grill for us. Located on a quiet road off the golf course where you can sit on their deck and enjoy the quiet and views.

We had a great time staying here. The rental was BEAUTIFUL and very comfortable. I actually wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property more! Communication with the hosts was always prompt, kind, and clear, and all the directions for parking and opening doors etc. were very clear. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful home! The house was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Tom and Kem were gracious hosts and had spiced nuts and sangria awaiting us upon our arrival. We’ve stayed at other local lodges and Tom and Ken’s tops them all! We look forward to visiting again!

We had a wonderful week in New London. This property is a quiet and scenic location right on Lake Sunapee Country Club's golf course. The house was perfect. Tom and Kem couldn't have been nicer and were always available if we needed anything. We come to the area a couple times per year and we will absolutely be looking to book this property in the future.

THE PROPERTY WAS BEAUTIFUL AS WERE THE OWNERS LIVING NEXT DOOR. TOM AND KEM WERE GRACIOUS HOSTS, WE SAT WITH THEM ON THE DECK BY THE OPEN FIRE AND HAD A DELIGHTFUL EVENING. WE RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY HIGHLY FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO WANT TO ENJOY THE NEW LONDON AREA....JEFF & GERRY

What a beautiful setting and friendly hosts! My wife, daughter, and I arrived to a beautifully equipped home that is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were thrilled and instantly comfortable. The location is an easy drive to New London where there are restaurant and coffee shop options and the setting overlooks a golf course. And the hosts are kind, warm and attentive. Top notch!

The house looked great on the listing, but was even better in person. Great setting and location. The house is beautifully furnished and well stocked. Outside of the food and drink we consumed and the clothes and ski equipment we brought, everything needed and more was on hand. Thanks to our gracious hosts!

Hosts had the fireplace crackling and ready, every amenity possible. The house was lovely, Inviting and everyone felt so relaxed and at-home. Abundant charm as well, from the bevy of oriental rugs and antiques to the potted plants and fresh-cut flowers. Hosts were excellent communicators and even offered to mail us the blankie my daughter left behind. Best experience!

Wonderful, spacious space in a perfect location on the Lake Sunapee Country Club. Close to New London near fabulous restaurants, shops and the Blue Loon Bakery. Great spaces include the sitting area with the lovely gas fireplace and the outdoor seating with a solo fire pit with views of the golf course. We will be back.

If you are fortunate enough to stay here DO IT! Lovely rooms, location minutes from town center of New London. Gracious hosts! Would love to return yearly. Everything you could passably want is there. Enjoy!!
