I liked everything about the property and location, especially the views of those mountains behind! The drive up to the property was breathtaking. There are fantastic walking routes directly outside the property in all directions, the old quarry and ruins around the property are lovely. It was tidy, not too cluttered and had everything you need in order to cater for yourselves. I am definitely looking forwards to my next holiday in Wales.
For those concerned about the road up there based on other reviews, it is narrow, and it is made of slate, it is a little bumpy but we saw all sorts of cars using it including a fiat 500 (taking their tiny dog for a walk) so it is useable and accessible - just take it slow and appreciate the views.
Sadly on our first day a thunderstorm took out the Wi-Fi for the entire duration of our stay, not the biggest issue for us but the lack of response on booking.com by the host/Sykes cottages made me feel the need to leave this in the review. A few small touchups are needed throughout as there is some flaking paint in places and some sort of outside seating would have been great to watch the sunset from.
p.s. unless its the best hidden TV ever, there is also no TV despite it being listed on the facilities - take a book/laptop/tablet if you can't disconnect from the world.

Wonderful location and views from what felt like the top of the world! Amazing sunsets over the Menai Strait.
Well equipped and comfortable.
Lack of outdoor furniture to relax and enjoy the view or have meals outside.

De locatie van de cottage.
Cottage was klammig en de faciliteiten vielen tegen.
Geen diepvriezer, geen stofzuiger, geen fatsoenlijke wasrek, geen waslijn buiten, geen TV, geen tuinmeubilair of parasol buiten. Eigenaar zou de cottage eerst zelf moeten ervaren om te bezien waar mensen op mis kunnen pakken.
