We had everything a house can offer.
Comfortable, spacious, well equipped.

Les propriétaires sont très gentils et attentionnés. On est accueillis avec générosité, plein de gourmandises et de quoi démarrer le séjour. C'est spatieux, confortable et lumineux. Il y a une terrasse devant, à l'abri du vent et du soleil très très agréable pour y prendre ses repas ou se reposer. Et il y a un très long balcon qui parcourt une partie de la maison et qui donne sur la montagne austère et mystérieuse. C'est le bout du village, très calme, avec vue aussi sur une petite église typique et son cimetière en amont. Rien ne manque. A 10 minutes, il y a Spili et toutes les nécessités. A Akoumia même, il y a 2 tavernes sur une superbe place ombragée, un petit magasin et même une boulangerie en contrebas. Très bel équilibre entre être à l'écart du tourisme de masse, goûter à la culture du pays et en même temps avoir accès aux plages et aux sites à visiter. Avec une voiture, dans notre cas.

Our stay at Koumans Residence in Akoumia, Crete was truly memorable. The house was roomy, spotless and well presented. We loved the welcome spread of delicious Cretan treats and raki, such a nice personal touch by our host Eleni. Everything we needed was there, and the location made it easy to explore all corners of Crete. We left completely satisfied and would happily recommend this place to anyone wanting a genuine home away from home.

Great place with lots of space and well equipped. Welcome snacks and drinks a lovely touch. Great views across mountains and a pleasant sitting area at the front.
Good suggestions about places to visit on the area.
Very little we didn't like. There wasn't anywhere to put the shower head on the wall, so it had to be held all the time. Everything else good and we'd use again if in the area.
