Villa Lyvie wordt gerund door de Franse Alexandra en haar moeder Marie. Beiden zijn zeer gedreven om hun gasten een fantastische tijd te bezorgen. Alles in de villa is tot in de puntjes geregeld. Je kunt water pakken, muggenspul gebruiken en yogamatjes lenen. Er zijn vele gezellige zithoekjes in en om het huis en zowel het huis als de tuin zijn met veel zorg aangekleed en verzorgd. Het zwembad is niet groot, maar wel echt fijn en schoon. Het eten is super lekker, gekookt door een Sri Lankaanse kok, met heerlijke Franse toetjes van moeder Marie. Mijn kinderen en vrouw hebben een Ayurvedische massage gekregen en waren alledrie heel tevreden.

Had a wonderful short stay at Villa Lyvie. As others have commented, Alexandra is a fantastic host.
The property is lovely with many many personal touches with a strong Island theme. The rooms have first class AC and lovely bedding. So many little, thoughtful touches to enhance your stay.
The pool is excellent. When the water fountain is on you also use it for a head / back massage as a bonus. The gardens are so well kept and there is a large amount of birds etc.. in a pleasant neighbourhood.
Its not far from a couple of beautiful beaches and some excellent restaurants. I also ate at Villa Lyvie and the house special prawns are a must! Alexandra recommended some great places to visit also, including some I would not have been aware of otherwise.
Can totally recommend and yes I'd stay again if I could.

The hotel was reasonably well located a 7 minute walk to a sweet little beach and a short tuk tuk to restaurants. The hosts were accommodating and understanding.
But I was hugely disappointed with our room.
I had booked a large room with a balcony and instead received a small, dark room with a small window with no view. The terrace was not attached to the room and instead, down a passageway. It was a space with walls you couldn't see over when you were seated.
It was so disappointing that I immediately started looking for a different venue.
The next morning we left.
The hosts were understanding and only charged us for one night, which was a relief that we didn't have to have an argument.
I think booking com should review their description of the property to truly reflect the reality.
