Perfect location in a beautiful setting. There is a lovely walk alongside the river and castle. The property had enough bedrooms to cover our party and the beds were clean and comfortable. The courtyard at the back was great with a large table and benches so we could all sit and chat together. The kitchen/dinning was well stocked to cater for 11 people.
We had an issue with the front door on the first day as the Yale was working intermittently, no exit access from the rear and unable to open the front windows in case of a fire. However after a couple of phone calls and been insistent a maintenance guy came out and oiled all of the mechanisms. We do feel the Yale needed replacing. The house was good but feels like it needs a thorough clean. Some of the locks on the upstairs landing external door were damaged but we were still able to lock it after use.

The property was extremely well equipped for our party of 10. 6 gorgeous bedrooms. Beds were immaculately clean and so comfortable. 4 with en suite. Beautiful dining table which seated all of us together. All the decor was done extremely modern and very tasteful. Location was perfect, 5 mins walk to the town.
Just a couple of things really. A welcome pack of maybe bread, milk, jams, washing up liquid etc would have been a nice touch. There was no hand soap on the bathrooms. There was only hand soap only in the toilet down stairs. The outside area was very tired looking. It’s a beautiful space but the furniture was rusty and the garden looked a bit unkept. There are 2 very steep hills to walk up to get into town which was no problem for most of us but a bit a bit of a struggle for anyone with knee or hip problems.

Property clean on arrival, plenty of space for socialising and excellent location (if you don’t mind a steep walk)
No flute glasses, limited baking trays and pans for socialising with 12 people

Lovely and spacious, bedrooms and bathrooms plentiful.
There were a few issues in the kitchen area, some appliances weren’t working properly, and cutlery and crockery was not clean
