Het was een mooie locatie met uitzicht op de bergen en het water. In de keuken was alles wat je wenst aanwezig. Elke dag verse broodjes naast de al aanwezige andere ontbijtproducten. Meerdere zitplaatsen om het huis. Alles is heel goed verzorgd.
De toegangsweg was onverhard en vrij steil. En het zwembad van Casa da Eira lag veelal in de schaduw waardoor het redelijk fris was, net als dat het terras rond 17.00 ook al volledig in de schaduw lag.

Contact met de host was geweldig. De accommodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien. Prachtig terras met uitzicht op de Groene Douro-vallei. Elke ochtend verse broodjes voor het ontbijt en naar wens werden overige ontbijtproducten aangevuld. Host heeft ook voor ons een een leuk boottripje geboekt op de Douro. Lekker zwembad en voldoende fijne plekken om te chillen rond het huis.
Bed op de slaapkamer boven is aan de kleine kant.

Tranquilidade absoluta! Uma floresta diversificada e bem cuidada com vista para o Douro, onde encontramos esta casinha de pedra com piscina privada, vista para o rio Douro, com total privacidade e espaço exterior em abundância. Encontrámos circuitos pedestres, por entre a floresta, onde passeamos em segurança e sozinhos. Total reserva e sossego durante a nossa estadia de 1 semana. Ao longe víamos o comboio por entre as árvores a caminho do Tua. Teríamos ficado mais tempo. Tivemos todos os dias pão fresco para o pequeno almoço. Leite, doce regional, ovos, queijo para o pequeno almoço completo.

We loved our stay. The property is so well situated, so quiet and peaceful with spectacular views.
The house is very well maintained, but do make sure to let the air in by opening the windows - perhaps mosquito nets would be useful. We did not use air conditioning, as there was no need with windows open.
The swimming pool is superb, shallow enough for kids to play and deep enough for adults to swim a little.
