The host was amazing and helped us switch rooms to a private cottage in the woods. It was charming. The trail through the forest was magical.

We loved the fresh, rustic setting and unique and beautiful furnishings and flooring. The lodging was clean as well and we appreciated the second bathroom.

The refrigerator was so small and difficult to get to making it almost useless. We travel with foods that require refrigeration and use of a freezer, but there was no freezer. Also, we had a party of four, but the kitchen table could only accommodate 2-3 people at most. We were also disappointed that there was no toaster or microwave.

First thing to keep in mind is that this is not a hotel. It is more like Dwight Schrute farms (if you watched The Office) bed and breakfast. Just a few apartments but very welcoming and with personal touch and a lot of attention to the guests needs. One night I was the only guest who asked for dinner so they they delivered it right to my room. And almost all food that they serve is coming from the farm, they even brew their own beer which tastes great and I highly recommend. And you get fresh and tasty vegetables which is a rare thing in Icelandic hotels. The accommodation is rather simple but it has almost everything you need. If you are visiting in late summer, you can even go and pick all kinds of berries to snack on.

All food is vegetarian. The location is a bit far (15 min drive) from any facilities like stores or gas stations.

The bedroom, living room and bathroom are spacious.

First of all , as mentioned in several reviews, the kitchen is really no functional at all. The refrigerator is very small, not even a regular frigobar, there is no space and not even a table to prepare or set down food. It would help a lot if there were a small table or a foldable one. If you try to cook anything and have leftovers, there’s nowhere to store them. In our apartment, there weren’t mugs, only glass cups, which was quite inconvenient for having coffee or tea. Although the apartments are spacious, they have neither privacy nor a nice view. Another negative point was that the restaurant was completely closed, and I was only informed about it on the day of check-in. A few days before our arrival, I asked about some specific foods for the breakfast and I was informed that due to the restaurant was operating in a more limited way due to off season ( limited is not closed as far I understand). To my surprise and disappointment, on the day of check-in I was told that the restaurant was closed for the winter season and that no meals would be served. It was impossible to enjoy anything on the farm ( just the shop for local products were open on request) a basket of vegetables was offered to us for purchase and I was thinking how I would manage to store these products if I bought them. In summary, it was impossible to enjoy anything there which made the experience of staying at an organic farm totally pointless. The lack of clear communication and accurate information about the place made the experience very disappointing. I could have stayed anywhere else for a more reasonable price.
