The room was clean and had a decent view, but had seen better days. Highly recommend the bar/restaurant in the hotel, and the splash park, though a bit pricey, was a good way for the kids to kill a few hours and the parents to relax.

My 17yo and I were in town to attend a campus tour at Oswego. We checked in our room and quickly learned that all of the rooms surrounding our room were there together - they were loud, partying, pounding on each other’s doors, yelling in the hallway, and their young children used the hallway in front of our room as a play-space. This was all happening after 10:30pm. I called the front desk - they were accommodating and moved us down the hall. Unfortunately, we ran into the same issue with the new room, as well. Only this time, the neighboring adults AND their young children were noisy and using the hallway as a play space. The adults would pitch rubber bouncy balls down the long hall and the kids would run & scream after the ball, bouncing off the walls and neighboring hotel room doors. Then - the toilet failed in the second room so we called the front desk. I was given a plunger to fix on own but the issue was not a toilet clog - the toilet simply did not work. They moved us again. In that interaction, I learned from the hotel staff that they put families with young children on the 4th & 5th floors - if you value any kind of sleep, ask the hotel to put you on floors 2 & 3. And why didn’t they just put us on a lower floor from the start? The front staff really did try to accommodate, they offered a discount due to all of the issues and the head / mgr front desk person was very nice - but this hotel is an absolute nightmare.

We always stay here whenever we bring our son to college. Love the view of the canal but the beds were uncomfortably. Very friendly and professional st.

Room was very noisy, band below room and movement of furniture above room made sleeping nearlly imposssible, Bed mattress was as hard as a rock resulting in tossing and turning all nite long. Location excellent and facility in good shape. Hotel ad showed a pool. Pool not in there facility but in the the nextdoor facility. Because of hard mattresses will not use this hotel again.

We couldn't check in at 330 pm when check in was at 3. Was told id get a call to let me know when our room was ready. No one called. We went back after 530. After 3 hours of driving we wanted to check in our room. Otherwise great place. Food at the hotel restaurant was amazing.

Hotel was well represented by the photos online. Wasn’t thrilled to find out the pool listed in the amenities was at a different hotel next door as part of a health club. Good stay on a busy night.

I’ve always enjoyed my stay at Clarion. I was given an accessible room and was surprised by this choice. I looked back at my reservation and realized I did accidentally reserve an accessible room this time but unfortunately it had a horrible smell in the room. I will be more careful next time!

Staff is superb! Only issues is there is no gym or pool on site. You’d have to walk to best western in the middle of the cold that’s a challenge. Also WIFI was choppy in and out. So hard to do work! Complementary breakfast included! Shout out to Andrew and Kaitlyn, Abby for being terrific! There is a water park but that’s really intended for kids

The property advertises a pool and a gym. That’s one of the main reasons of getting this hotel. Only to find out that the pool and gym are next door. Why would I go without and walk in The rain back to my hotel? This makes zero sense? Don’t advertise with a picture of a pool for your hotel

The hotel was nice but the beds were not the most comfortable. There was not a box spring so being on a platform it creaked a lot, kind of annoying

The walls at this hotel are paper thin and normal conversations in the adjoining rooms can be heard readily. Additionally, this hotel has a new indoor water park in the adjacent building and the patrons are predominantly families with young kids. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay… this is NOT the best choice!!

The air conditioning unit was so loud I couldn’t sleep. Hotel booked to capacity so no possibility of getting moved Boone came to look at it. The front desk attended Jonathan could hear through phone it was soo loud. I drove 6 hours to drop son at SUNY Oswego just wanted to sleep before making 6 hour trip home The. Next morning I picked up my done and was on room and I got locked in bathroom for over 30 mins. Thankfully my son was in room and wa sable to call front desk and have maintenance come and get me out

TV didn't work. Seemed to be for many/all guests. Whole system seems outdated and should be upgraded. Only one elevator working. No info anywhere.

Desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Bad - way past time for new beds. I've been staying here for several years and the condition of the beds is getting to the "springs coming through the hard plywood" period.

Breakfast was particularly good! The lady running breakfast was delightful. Excellent location on the river. We could see the lighthouse and Lake Ontario from our room. Hotel has a nice outdoor dining area too. We walked all over downtown Oswego from the hotel - even to Briebart Park and the new Pier. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Will stay there again.

The staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and orderly. There was no 'weird hotel smell'! Lacey, Noah, Jorge and Shai made the stay enjoyable. The live music and the view from the back deck was a bonus!

I came from NYC upstate to visit the new waterpark attached to the hotel. The Waterpark was nice. The hotel, the wifi was not operational at all. You had to sit near the door to get service. I work remotely and had difficulties. And ,the couch in the hotel room, it was very uncomfortable, the sitting cushions were wasted and the back cushions were missing. If i return for the Waterpark in the future, ill never stay there again because of this.

At this property we had several problems with our room keys during our stay. The fold out sofa bed had dirty sheets and blankets. the complimentary breakfast was great. The parking was tough to get a spot at times with the indoor splash pad having private events. The location was great.

We had a lovely stay! Everyone was very friendly and eager to help, our room was spacious and clean, and for a free hotel breakfast the food was very good! Would definitely stay here again, on top of everything the location couldn’t be beat!

We have stayed at this location several times. It's right next to the water, which is easy access to watching boats for the littles or just peaceful sounds. The staff were very friendly.

When I checked in there was no parking. Then I asked where the pool was bc the hotel is listed as having a pool I was informed I could walk across the street to another hotel with my children, the pool there is free. That is not considered to have a pool of its own in its listing in my opinion. I asked to be switched, the lobby attendant was rude and to top it all off I just found a bug in my bed when I pulled down the sheets. Ps- there is also dirt in the shower!!!

The first room we checked into had a bad smell. They immediately moved us to a better room and staff addressed the problem in the first room immediately.

I had only one complaint here -- the breakfast buffet area had the weirdest smell. I have a sensitive nose, I guess, but I could hardly eat there. Otherwise, it was great -- the location is super convenient for seeing the sights. I am a walker and could walk to gorgeous Brietback Park, the museums, and the fort easily. I liked the restaurant, too, especially sitting on the balcony.
