Check in was very quick and efficient. When we got to our room we could not get the lights or refrigerator on one side of the room to work so we called the front desk. They said that they would let engineering know. Within a few minutes a maintenance worker showed up at our room and quickly fixed the problem. The entire staff were very friendly and courteous which made our weekend stay there great. Looking forward to our next trip so we can stay again.

The clerk at the check in was AMAZING, sweet and fun and met all our expectations. The hotel is old and needs a re model, elevators that shake and whine as they function, tore carpet in our room, mattress so firm, I should have slept on the floor

One of the worst hotels I've stayed at. Will never be coming back. The pillows are very uncomfortable, the walls are thin and you can hear everything. We got stuck on the floor where others had pets and there was a dog who was crying and barking nonstop at 3am for over an hour. Very disappointed and not happy that there's no reimbursement or compensation for that horrible night with the dog barking/crying.

My boyfriend and I had went for his Birthday and had a really nice stay! The staff was super accommodating and friendly, Casino portion was very clean, and the room was newly renovated with a modern look. The only thing that was a little confusing was paying for the parking. But we asked a team member and they were able to explain how it works. Besides that, the room was advertised with no mini fridge on hotel.com and the hotels main website, but once we got there we realized there was one in our room! So that was a great bonus! Overall we had a great stay and definitely will be coming back again!

There was dead bugs in sheets. Bad lighting, only one low lit lamp and two track lights that were facing out the window. Disabled room did not have a walk in shower. No one helped get luggage from car but expected a tip.
Expensive room plus a $30 resort fee and $25 parking fee.
Been staying at Harveyâs for 40 yrs but wonât being staying there any longer.
Am very disappointed my favorite hotel has fallen so low .

Room is outdated. And not too clean. No more housekeeping services??

Dirty, fridge made weird noises all night kept me up. Neighbors were louder than the broken fridge. Sheets were dirty. Toilet paper stuffed in peep hole. Paid more for lake view which wasnât that great. Car got dented in parking garage. Yeah no thanks on staying there again

Stayed in the mountain tower this stay. Much obviously older building. Smaller room and dark hallways older bathroom. Stayed in new tower a couple weeks ago big difference in room and bathroom size. Will request other tower next time. Also no hot tub which is a bummer.

The room was dirty. The wallpaper was peeling, the paint was flaking off the ceilings in the bathroom, the shower head shot water on the bathroom floor with no way to adjust it, the carpet was dirty, we were assigned some person on the phone to assist us and the only request was ignored. At check out I mentioned all of the above and with an eye roll from staff I was asked if I wanted a reciept. I grew up staying in this hotel and it was always our favorite. They must have dropped their standards since then.

I took my friend to celebrate his 65th birthday. I was very disappointed that on the first night when we were gambling and drinking we were told that if we wanted another cocktail we would have to walk over to Harris Casino. Itâs 2 oâclock in the morning, my friend and I are having a good time, and now weâre told if we want to have another drink that we have to go to another casino. Very upset and very disappointing you advertise 24 seven entertainment and yet itâs not what was offered. The next morning when we decided to come down for breakfast we were told the restaurant doesnât open up until 11 AM . Again unbelievable 24 seven entertainment and yet we canât drink or eat from 2 AM till 11 AM. I will never recommend this hotel.

Room was great. Shared with daughter bathroom was huge and great for three girls to use. Hallways and casino could use some updating but close location to gondola and restaurants was great.

It was pretty clean, but the wallpaper was pealing off the wall in our room and in the hallway by the elevators. It just had a feeling like it was old and they are resisting updating the place. Room was fine, but only had two basic chairs and small table, nowhere comfortable to sit. It looked like they had built a new building right next to the old one and connected the two via hallways, it was a STARK contrast from one hallway to the next. I'm curious what the new rooms are like, I hope they are better than what we stayed in. Overall, it was a hotel, and we slept there.

Do not book the classic towers. We paid over $500 for two nights and would have been better off at a motel 6. Our first room smelt like pee. Our second room had black mold growing above the window. The classic towers are in desperate need of renovation.

Enjoyed our stay.

The room was dirty, stuffy, and smelly. We paid for extra luxury, and it was not worth it. We will stay elsewhere in the future.

This hotel and casino just feels straight up grimy. The entire building has an odd smell including the guest rooms (smoking is allowed in some areas, which doesn't help, but it's more than that somehow). It has a lot of inexplicably dark and empty spaces that give you a feeling of unease (like you could probably be mugged and nobody would see). Parking garage feels unsafe. The route to the pool/gym is so strange: it's kind of like walking through a bunker that we would hide congress in if a nuclear war broke out. Low ceilings, poor lighting, cheap looking decor on the walls. It seems just as likely that you're being lead to slaughter as you are headed to a relaxing pool. The pool area has a cold and barren feel just like everything else. Like, picture East Germany behind the iron curtain: lots of concrete... dreary is good descriptor for everything about this building. I used to put up with it, because the price is usually low and they have the only poker room in town. Now the poker room is closed 3 days a week and they shut it down at 2 AM no matter how many tables are going. The final straw... the reason I won't visit this place anymore is the staff. There is a general feeling that nobody really cares, and they're badly understaffed a lot of the time. It took forever to get a cocktail while playing poker, some of the dealers are clearly inexperienced, most people you talk to don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "hospitality", food is bad, just not worth it.

We were lucky to get a room in the Tahoe tower which is the newer part of the hotel. We were a couple of rooms away from the older tower of the hotel and walking to the elevator in that tower, we could really see the age of it. The elevators in that tower are old, small and a little scary!
Our room was nice, spacious and the bathroom was especially large. We were on the 7th floor and our room overlooked the roof of the side of the hotel, so not the best, but we could also see Heavenly and the gondola and village, which was nice. A couple of things we didnât love was there was no clock in the room, which is a first for us in a hotel room, and the thermostat was extremely difficult to work. We both roasted and got cold, and couldnât turn off the loud fan the first night.

I was booked in the mountain side at first but that was horrible. I upgraded to a "Deluxe" room which was better. Comfortable, with a view, but it doubled the price of my stay. The hotel "stopped performing housekeeping stayover services" but if I texted a request I could get towels or bathroom amenities. I texted!! They never arrived. I commend the folks at the front desk. Their English was better than my Spanish. Didn't resolve the issue though. AND it appears the only way to get your trash picked up was to leave it out in the hall, as many guests did.

Hot tub was down (only reason we didnât do air bnb) and took 2 hours to get more towels to room.

This casino and hotel is really beat up. We did stay in the cheaper room. Bed was comfortable and clean, but walls are dinged, furniture outdated, bathroom fixtures old, toilet ran excessively. Hotel doors are all chipped. We did visit a suite that our friend rented and it was very nice. I won't stay here again. Staff was friendly!

The room was advertised online as $50, but there is a non negotiable resort charge of $29.95 additional per night so it was actually $80, AND $20 for parking... per night. I still can not believe that I had to pay to park at the hotel I was staying in.

We stayed at Harvey Casino for 3 days. They gave us a room which was not clean. dirty towels all over the place, bed was not made. Sheets on top of the TV, etc. I have picture I can upload if you like. We called down to the desk and reported it. They said they will assign another room and will send a bellman in 20 minutes otherwise we will have to come down to the lobby. The new room they gave us was downgraded. I won't not stay at this place again. Thanks.

We had to change rooms due to the air conditioner not working and making noises every few mintutes like clock work. The second room was smaller and they didn't even ask if they could help us move. When we arrived to the second room there was clear water stains where the wall paper was falling off, holes in the carpet. Will not be returning there.

Front desk was nice. She helped me upgrade our room from 8th floor to 17th floor with a $30 charge. Awesome view of the city, mountain and lake tahoe!

The location was great. Short walk to the heavenly gondola. Our room was dirty and outdated, nothing like the pictures online. There was a hole in the ceiling, base boards coming off the wall, and tub drain was clogged. $30 âresortâ fee for unlimited local calls, internet and pool usage. The phone in our room had been ripped from the wall and left sitting. 2 pillows per bed that were terrible, very flat. We ate at Hells Kitchen on site. Food was wonderful but it had a large opening to the casino that allowed smoke into the restaurant which affected the taste of the food, which is unacceptable for a $400 meal.

Staff is not that welcome

Cleanliness in the rooms was pretty poor. So much dust on the walls people were drawing stuff on them.

Room was in pristine condition. Everything was spotless! Beautiful view from the room. Staff was helpful and very polite. Great walkability to restaurants in town.

Even though the hotel is a little aged, it is situated in a very convenient spot in South Lake Tahoe. Its gym is very nice.

Peeling wallpaper all over the hallways and bathroom, extremely rusty vents in the bathroom, burn marks in the carpet of non-smoking rooms, huge gap under the door to the room, no housekeeping for the whole 5 day visit, no secondary lock on the door, no refrigerator or microwave, no clock

Nice place but doesnât do daily room cleaning, hot tub has been out of service for 2 years, and staff wasnât very friendly. Not bad!

Arrived and entered a room that had the thermostat set at 56 and it read 54 degrees. Fan on high, froze all night well waiting for the front desk to send a engineer up. Ended up having to call again the next day as. Finally at 1100am he arrived to fix it. Finally we have beat. Then get a text that the maid will not be serving the room unless requested. So why does the maid walk into the room at 700pm while we were in there. Not a good experience at all. Also they charge a daily parking fee they fail to tell you
