Without a doubt the nicest staff we have encountered in a long time. They couldn't be more accommodating. We will for sure stay there again when we go back to South Lake Tahoe

Booked at Harrahs over Harvey’s because of reviews and ratings. Had one of the top rooms but was outdated. Several areas of the hotel smelled really bad. Switched to Harvey’s the next night and had a cheaper room that was nicer, cleaner and updated. Didn’t have the odd smell.

When we arrived the AC / ventilation system did not work and the room was stuffy. We had to move rooms. The hot water in the shower did not heat up very well only like warm. No charging devices for your iPhone even though they have the items in the room. The American river cafe staff except for Jose was rude and lacks customer service skills. He was making a fuss when a party of 10 came in. The gift shop sold my son an international charging device since nothing worked and when we opened it’ and realized it wouldn’t work they would not take it back. The extra fees are ridiculous for what you get and use.

It is pretty dated. The premium king room was comfortable but definitely was showing its age. Great location. Didn’t thing the resort fee was a good value.

Outdated & sink overflow after brushing my teeth. Bed wasn’t comfortable the pillows suck! The refrigerator was so noisy couldn’t sleep. I’ll never stay here again. Harvey’s across the street so much nicer & cleaner.

The room was very clean but we wish they had at least done a partial housekeeping service during our stay. Also, the jacuzzi was not in service which would have been nice after skiing.

Overall this was a great stay. Check in and checkout was seamless and the facilities were clean. The only issue was with the amenities: The hot tub was srained and closed and the pool was supposed to be heated but wasn't.

Stayed Sun-Fri. Check in was easy/quick. Room service was not done during the trip. We were told to ask for towels/trash on Wed but didn't bother. It did mean our trash pile was pretty large in the room. Room was pretty quiet - only once got woken but loud people in hallway. Short walk to the Heavenly Gondola which was nice. Ate breakfast at the Cafe one morning - food good but prices a little steep.

Loved staying at Harrah’s except for the fact that i had to pay $35 since my ‘room type’ wasn’t available at 3 pm. I thought with platinum status, I was allowed a n upgrade and early check in :(

Dirty, smelled bad, worn carpet, broken furniture, torn wallpaper, really limited food choices, $29 resort fee that basically charged for internet without much else included. I wouldn’t stay again.

Room was not the cleanest. Dead moths in the shower. Very outdated with door panels and paint falling off. Best part of the room was that there was two full bathrooms.

We arrived to celebrate my husbands birthday and we had to wait for our room and then we got to the room and the heater didn’t work, the shower water wouldn’t get warm and the outlets in the bathroom wouldn’t work. This made getting ready for his birthday a huge challenge, so we were moved to a handicap room with 2 queen bedrooms. The room was so gross! This door is just an example of how things looked and felt.

In need of some updating. Neither shower had hot water and one of two sinks did. A bit problematic when it’s 26° outside. Staff waived the resort fee when I brought to their attention and another guest was waiting in line behind me with the same issue.

Our room Suite was $325 approx and was a total dump! the fridge didn’t work the carpet was rippled, the furniture was beat up. Tiny old TVs. No full length mirror. Very disappointing and we will NEVER stay there again. Or @ Harvey’s since they are owned by same company, I believe.

Even the rooms that are non smoking smell like smoke. The hotel itself could use several updates. The elevators are in poor appearance, the beds are uncomfortable and even self parking is expensive.

I have stayed at several Harrah's properties. This particular hotel at Lake Tahoe, needs serious updating. Paint coming off everywhere. Everything is very outdated. Employees that work at this hotel, have terrible customer service. From the front desk, to waiters, waitress, etc. Will not be going back ever to this hotel.

The photos and description of the property was misleading. I was expecting nicer and more up to date facilities. The rooms were in need of repairs, peeling wallpaper, furniture was dated. Holes in wall and ceilings. Housekeeping was lacking and the staff overall were not very professional or friendly, there were a few exceptions. Was presented an upgrade to my original boking from a single room to a suit. The suit was in poor condition, wall paper was peeling furniture was searched and dinged up. Door to bedroom would close. Windows were also damaged. My girlfriend and I. Left the room for most of the day and came back to our that wasn't attended to. Bed was not made, trash was not removed and towels were not replaced. I could go on, but there isn't enough room to mention the bad experience. Staff was not helpful to our concerns. The manager on duty who was on duty was rude and actually hung up on my girlfriend when she called down to the desk. Checkout was not very pleasant either. Differently will not be going back or recommending Harrahs in Lake Tahoe. If anything would advise anyone go somewhere else

Came for a little getaway with my wife. The view of the lake and mountains was amazing. The check in was quick and the staff was so friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
