The inn is historic and lives up to that title. I liked the inside decor and feel of the place. It was offseason so there were not a lot of other guests, which was fine with me. My room was small but it had everything I needed and the truth is I spent very little time there, just mainly sleeping. The one concern I had was the amount of ice in the parking lot and in front of the entrance. I had to be very careful in walking to and from my vehicle and almost slipped a couple of time. They really need to do a better job of dealing with the snow and ice. I had breakfast and it was very good pricewise as well and the taste and size of the portions. I will stay here again in the future.

Very friendly staff. We didn't realize it was so far from Aspen ski resort. I would recommend it to others, but not for a place to ski.

Honeymooned there in 1999 and have stayed there many times since moving back to CO in 1988. Nothing has changed, ie, the rooms, updates etc., except the service in both the hotel and the restaurant... Which continue to go downhill. Check in and check out... not welcoming. Restaurant, dinner and lunch, so surely. Sure, bonus to bring and pay $50 extra per pet, on top of $200 for the only pet rooms, but they are so aged, and we had to wash everything we brought into the room because it smelled so strong of the disinfectant. So, 25 years later, sadly , we feel we've given them enough chances and won't be back.

The historic property was great. Our only issue was with the pillows, which resulted in stiff/painful necks all around. nonetheless, we would recommend.

Our experience as a family with the Redstone Inn goes back to the 1980's when we would often drive up for Sunday dinner. I've also stayed at the Inn before and enjoyed myself immensely. This time I was joined by my two sons for our first family Christmas in over a decade. That alone would have made it wonderful, but there can be no more comfortable, warm, friendly and Christmas-y place in Colorado than the historic Redstone Inn! We had Christmas Eve dinner in the dining room. The food was fantastic... I had the evening's special -- elk medallions in an amazing blueberry sauce, with potatoes au gratin and carrots. One of my sons had the Rib Eye steak and pronounced it perfectly cooked and delicious. We were looking forward to breakfast in The Grill but, we all overslept and didn't make the 10:30 cut-off time. The Grill would be open for lunch shortly, but we needed to check out and move on with our day. Oh, we also enjoyed the most beautiful live dinner music on Christmas Eve. Piano and vocals were courtesy of John Rigger, a legendary valley musician who is also becoming world famous by teaching music teachers around the world how to teach jazz to children. Herbie Hancock has thanked him for that!
