Outstanding personnel,but no room safe, or room refrigerator, close to everything, walking distance!!!

We encountered an issue with the hot water supply in our room upon returning from our evening activities. Despite making two calls to the front desk between 9 and 10 pm, the matter remained unresolved, and we were unable to shower after a long day. The night shift staff member we spoke with in the morning was helpful and provided us with a key to another room so we could shower, which should have been done by the previous staff member.
Additionally, the room lacked curtains, allowing excessive light to enter, and there was no refrigerator or hooks for washcloths. The bed was also softer than we would have preferred.
While the room itself was comfortable, I was disappointed by the lack of assistance from the desk clerk during our initial request for hot water. I believe that hot water is a basic necessity, and more effort should have been made to resolve the issue promptly, as demonstrated by the helpfulness of the night shift staff member.

Quiet, close to the freeway for easy navigation, quaint hotel. Antonio treated us we as did everyone else we met!! Exceptionally clean and felt completely safe!!

Be prepared for a very small room. It met my needs for 1 night in-and-out but small and very noisy. Heater/AC was very loud and old; when if I turned it off, outside traffic noise was as bad even with windows closed. The bathroom appeared recently redone and attractive, however the smooth tile floor was deadly with feet wet or dry or with sox, particularly in and out of shower. There was no non-slip floor mat to offer some safety; using towels, even dampened, was just as deadly. Extremely unsafe.

Our stay was amazing. The front desk host Chloe was customer service focused and she did not miss anything with respect to our amenities. The freshly baked breakfast muffins and coffee service were both top shelf and delicious. We will definitely stay again. Thank you.

It is a nice and cozy hotel with a friendly, excellent staff. However, with road construction and heavy traffic close by, the unbearable noise could be heard from my hotel room.

Beautiful historic hotel, and friendly staff. Rooms could be more sound proof. I had a room w/out a view, which I chose, as I was told it was more quiet (the hotel faces I-95), but the noise from the highway was still very loud. Would recommend better windows, and/or curtains to block the noise (and light). The restaurant there is excellent.

My wife and I had a great time at Penn’s View Hotel. The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We were in the queen superior room that was great. There was a large shower, fireplace, and small balcony that were all fantastic. The location of the hotel was also ideal. It is across the street from a lot of nightlife, close drive to The Filmore, but far away enough to not get disturbed by the city noise.

The Penn's View is my favorite hotel in Philly. It's old school charm, with large (king) rooms, beamed ceilings and gas fire places. It's a nice change of place from the usual upscale chains. Service is personable and attentive. The rooms are immaculately clean and quiet. The Panorama Restaurant on the first floor is a wine bar and Italian restaurant with an extensive wine-by-the-glass selection. Friendly bartenders and first class waitstaff. Indulge yourself, you'll be happy you did.

Close to all of the old historic sites. Easy walking. Parking right next door. Parking is now $35 a night not $30. Staff was excellent. Room was very comfortable and clean. We will stay here again when going to Philly.

Loved the property and the front desk staff! The restaurant was lacking. Food took forever and it was a prefix menu so that never should have happened. Portions were terrible and we had two steaks ordered one was under and the other over cooked?? Salmon was fatty!! Great location for New Years fireworks but not worth the money for food. 288 for two!!!!yicks

This was such a quaint hotel with a nice view of course depending on where your room is located front view (which I didn't have) has a beautiful view of Penns Landings. I loved the raw brick wall in the room, very spacious , bed comfortable - the only drawback is the jacuzzi tub - really not needed or used these days - very large if interested in using but would have preferred a shower stall. Staff was pleasant .. will definitely visit again and try a room with a fire place. It was a nice quick getaway before Christmas !

I was not happy that there was a Fly endlessly buzzing all over the place throughout my entire 3 day stay. No mini Fridge or Microwave. The Neighborhood was amazing. So many restaurants to choose on every block. The bus right outside the door. The Train station directly at the other end of the block. Very well stocked bathroom with extra towels and toilet paper.

Convenient location close to the subway and restaurants. It maintained its old charm with exposed brick and courtyards while having modern updates such as very comfortable bed and great shower!

The location was great. Little hard to find at first. They had my reservation ready and easy check in. The room was clean and had all the comforts you could want. Some items are not in the room like mini fridge, coffee maker, or micro, but that was fine. They have coffee in the lobby in the morning and some muffins. Restaurant is attached as well. We loved the place.

I love renovated older hotels so one has to keep that in mind, but Penn's View Hotel (Inn) was very pleasant and comfortable, in a location conveniently at the edge of the historical district, Great check-in, nice staff, not a huge room (which we don't need) but well appointed and tastefully decorated.

The hotel has old-style elegance. Its rooms are small but well-appointed; it is in a perfect location for Old City and Society Hill restaurants and bars; and its own bar is understated and elegant. Parking is near by, and hotel personnel are terrific. Rates are reasonable. What more could you want?

This was our first time here but it will not be our last. We loved this property. It felt like stepping back in time. The room was clean and beautifully decorated and the staff was attentive and kind. The only thing I would recommend is that if you are a light sleeper to request a room that is not in the front of the building. If your room is in the front of the building you may hear I-95 but we are heavy sleepers so it was no issue for us.
Its a great spot for a quick romantic getaway if you are from the area and if you are visiting to sight see, its within walking distance to everything you will need or want to visit and there is a public transportation stop next door to the hotel if you are venturing out of olde city/center city.

Great location for exploring Olde City. Close to highway, a little loud. Tiny balcony just to get air is a nice touch. Rooms are dated, but clean and good sized. Nice bathroom, good shower and towels. Mattress just ok, a bit “foamy”, but pillows good. 32” tv is too small. No frig or safe in room. Very convenient parking next door. Fairly priced.
