Amazing hotel in the CBD with great facilities for kids. The executive suite was very spacious and comfortable for a family of four. The club access provided parents with an area for children to have a full meal (complimentary) and activities in the evening while parents enjoy the club floor drinks/canapés. The staff at the Renaissance are fabulous! I was very impressed with Aishya in the kids club who was so kind and patient with my very shy 4 year old. Equally, I was incredibly impressed with the check in and check out process with Nazrul who was very personable, accommodating and kind. My only complaint was that the road noise from the suite facing the KL tower was loud and I found it very difficult to sleep. My children were fine as they area deep sleepers. If you’re a light sleeper then I’d request a room with a pool view instead.

It was another pleasant stay at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur. The staff and front desk was helpful , as well very accommodating. Definitely will consider this hotel as one of our fav when we return to KL for more holidays.

The hotel room was excellent and very comfortable and the staff were very accommodating apart from one hitch - the ground floor cafe area. We were only one of two couples in there for a lunch on one of our days. The other couple were clearly very unhappy. We also became discontented. It took half an hour for a simple meal to arrive and, when it did, it did not contain a main ingredient listed on the menu - gorgonzola. When I pointed this out, the meal was taken away for 4 to 5 minutes for the waiter to then bring it back with the same processed cheese on the meal saying there was no gorgonzola. There was also no compensation at all. I got the meal because I love gorgonzola! Very disappointing all around. Other than that, the room service staff were excellent and the hotel clean and attractive. Only other negative - pool too cold and not enough staff on in the pool area to supply towels and locker keys. The pool toilet / shower area is also in need of a serious revamp.

Excellent hotel! Very close to Petronas towers and KL towers. Monorail right outside so easy to get around. Extremely helpful and friendly staff! Loved this hotel - very accommodating. The hotel feels modern and is extremely clean.

We checked in late. The staff member was very formal. We asked for late check out as our flight didn't leave before midnight the next day. She granted us check-out till 01.00pm. Later check out wasn't possible as they were fully booked. I checked online later and was still able to book rooms, so I felt she was lying. She said we weren't allowed to use the hotel facilities after check-out. I know that late check out is a service, not a given, but the overal conversation with the staff member really bothered me. Eventually we asked again the next morning and another staff member said it was no problem at all if we used the pool after check-out. I really appreciated that and it positively impacted my experience with this hotel. We had a suite with a day-bed for our 4-year old daughter. Room was recently renovated, but already things were broken. The closets doors wouldn't close properly (leaving the light on inside). The shower door wouldn't close properly, so the bathroom floor was wet. Very thin windows, so lots of traffic noise. A problem when you are a light sleeper. Breakfast is beyond perfect. Many options and very delicious. Nice pool. I missed a bar/pool with a view over the city. Very good lunch. Great location, within walking distance of the Petronas towers. Restaurant staff is extremely friendly. Lobby staff was very formal and didn't feel friendly. Not a very suitable hotel for children.

Not the best start to the stay with the hotel, down to consideration and not bad service. Apart from that the staff are so helpful and specially the staff in the club lounge.

We have been to this hotel many times already, and everytime, it is super nice and comfortable. The food is great, the room is spacious with bathtub. And they have a large swimming pool and nice gym. The area is very convenient, next to Bukit Nana train station, Grab is so cheap to go anywhere in KL, and walking distance to the twin tower and shopping mall. We will be back again this year. The Renaissance hotel feels like our home in KL. Their executive lounge is really fantastic too.

Definitely not recommended for family staycation, the lounge is small while kids are not allowed. A lot mis-spelled options or services i.e. room available either 2 twin bed or 1 king turn out to be there is only king for deluxe room (according to the hotel personnel). Dinner, lunch included turn out to be lounge access, abeit kids not allowed to go in. Requested for cribs only to be totally ignored, while technician left a 2 inch nail on the floor after fixing the door lock having us waited for a good 30 mins, lucky enough my toddler did not put it into his mouth.. Probably the worst family staycation experience, ever...

Excellent location, only a 5-minute walk from the Petronas Towers, a 15-minute walk from the KL Tower and a 2-minute walk from the nearest Metro. A very enjoyable rooftop swimming pool which is very large and unique with its views of the high rise buildings. The hotel facilities were excellent and the buffet breakfast varied and tasty, though a little on the expensive side. Our room was very large and clean, with an amazing view of the Petronas Towers, however the bedroom/bathroom decor is looking a bit tired and is in need of a refresh. We dined a la carte in the restaurant one evening and the pizza was clearly a defrosted pizza base with some toppings thrown on, which was very disappointing and put us off dining in the restaurant in the evening again. But that was the only disappointment in an otherwise excellent stay. Cannot fault the staff - all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if we return to KL.

Club Level Lounge access was wonderful and really useful, the complimentary food and drinks there was a pleasant surprise. The gym, steam room, and jacuzzi facilities were also a pleasure to use, clean and to high standards. The staff were very good too, and particularly Anita who was the Club Lounge manager in the West Wing.

The Renaissance has 2 pavilions. I was in the east, older room. Some rooms are renovated, brighter, more contemporary @ higher rate. Mine was drab w/a nice view overlooking pool. During the day, bright with the curtains open. Stale odor 1st day in room, dissipated in a day or two. Clean room. Spacious room. 3 phones: bedside, desk, bathroom -- not sure they worked. Coffee maker, fridge--great. Air, fine. Electricity controlled on a console. Stable WiFi for a business trip. Great! Several light bulbs and lamps did not work. Staff did not want with this One day the supervisor asked me about my room; I mentioned to him the issue w/lamps and/or bulbs. He got staff to fix them. He had staff fix the drain in the tub. The toilet flush was slow but worked. Room was cleaned; supervisor checked that it had cleaned -- daily. Small tv; it had programs in English, Malay, and other languages. Great for me, a language buff! Fantastic exercise classes! Gym staff helpful, friendly! Wonderful instructors! Great pool area! Very generous with towels, bathroom supplies, and replenishing the coffee and tea, and two bottles of water each day. Terrific! It is not advisable to drink tap water in Malaysia. I also purchased bottles at 7-Elevens, convenience stores, mall grocery. Helpful concierge! Breakfast was great, many choices.-- healthy/nonhealthy. Coffee, tea, juice. Hot/Cold food. Delicious bread. Courteous, professional, helpful staff. Self-serve Very pleasant stay

Easy check in on arrival, hotel was within easy walking distance to shopping precinct and rail service. Room spacious and well maintained, breakfast resturant was extremely busy, patients required.
