If you are looking for a no frills hotel and are looking to save money because all you need is a place to rest/sleep, then this hotel can be that place. I certainly would not stay for than 2 nights though. The beds and pillows are hard and we felt it on the second night. The hotel is old and dated and the room was small with old furnishings (nightstand tabletop was detached) but it was clean and it had a large window that looked out to the front of the hotel where there is a park lined with beautiful trees and there was a street market set up on Friday. On Saturday, around the corner, there were tents set up with antic vendors. Great choices to eat in the area. It was approximately a 20 minutes walk from the Nord train station. If you are looking to shop at a Parisian pharmacy, do not do it in this area. They charge several euros more in this area.

To the American eye the room might have been small but the Views were amazing, and the bathroom immaculate.
The elevator made a huge difference getting to the higher floors with a view and the location puts you steps from Sacre Coeur and the Metro is right outside the door, opening all of Paris easily. Highly recommend.
