The staff was very nice and was always open to give recommendations for restaurants food. Really anything you asked. The rooms need to be updated. Wallpaper was pealing off the walls in the bathroom. The water pleasure wasn’t the best. The furniture was very dated. The dead bolt on the door didn’t work. I gave it 4 starts because the lobby & restaurant/bar were clean and again the staff was friendly. Although tour last night wasn’t the best. We wanted to stay at the hotel for dinner and drinks since we had an early flight. Our group was sitting in the bar/restaurant and this guy not sure if he was a local tried to start a fight with one of our family member for no reason we were all confused as to what was happening. I had to get in between them at one point. The bartender that was working did nothing to de-escalate the problem. Thank God nothing happened. We just left and went to our room but it kind of left the sour taste in our mouth that the staff didn’t like kick this guy out but again all in all we had a great time.

Extremely friendly helpful staff. Some small glitches were taken care of immediately. Biggest problem was a large group of college students had an affair, so they were noisy and inconsiderate of others when partying through the night We understand the need for large group booking, but wish they could have been housed in their own block of rooms. Otherwise a very pleasant stay

Brad at the front desk was delightful and patient. My room was outdated. Nothing closed all the way (i.e., shower door, cabinet door where fridge is stored). The room was dingy so it looked some staining on the marble and bathroom wasn’t quite clean. Lastly, the pillows were awful. As soon as you laid on them they went flat. I slept on all four pillows and still was almost level with the mattress.

I frequent New Orleans and have never found a mid-priced hotel stay to be pleasant UNTIL I found the Renaissance. I stayed in Oct & had a wonderful experience, so I was cautiously optimistic that it would be the same this time. It was. I highly recommend this hotel!

I did not realize that the room I booked was not even the size of a bedroom! That's their description of a Cozy room. When I realized this the front desk clerk was indifferent, to say the least, suggesting that people need to read. It was extremely overpriced for the size. I left a day early.

Visited the Renaissance for a weekend in New Orleans & I'd definitely come back. The staff was excellent, the hotel was in a great location & the ambience was great as well.

The hotel was in an excellent location, extremely convenient to The Saengar Theater and walkable to many restaurants on Canal Street. Would definitely recommend if you are attending an event at the Saengar.

The way the outside of the property is online, it doesn’t look like that in person. I think that the young man’s name was Leon (something like that) overcharged us for parking after I told him it was for 3 hours for my sister. He said that he assumed the amount. The AC on our room was facing the wall so the room didn’t really cool off. The elevator was fast. Everything was clean. Beds are hard and pillows are too soft.

Could not have had nicer staff! My daughter and I came in super early for our one night stay, and the front desk clerk (around 6:30am) was very kind, knowledgeable about the area and just a pleasant guy to speak to. He was able to check us in early, which meant we had a safe place to take a nap before heading out to our activities. Everyone we met were super friendly, and personable too. The restaurant/bar’s food was phenomenal, and the service extremely good. We loved our waitress, and the bartender. (6pm) The hotel is close to the action, which meant a little noisier than I’d like, but for a beautiful city that never sleeps, that’s a price I’m willing to pay.

They gave us a tiny room, I mean miniature, we have to ask for a room change. The parking is really expensive, if you already paid for a room why you have to pay for parking too? When we checked out there was a young lady really rude, she was no nice or polite not even smiled at all, very bad attitude when she talked to me. Luckily there was a young man who checked us in and at the end he also help us with our check out. He was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent in every possible way. The staff's customer service was exemplary and the hotel was immaculate and the room, although not overly large, was spacious enough for the two of us. It's location was walking distance to Bourbon Street and many shops and restaurants.

This was our second stay here in 10 months at the Renaissance and we’ll continue to come back. Checking in was great and staff were very professional, organized and accommodating. Jarod, specifically in the restaurant bar, was fabulous! Outgoing, great customer service, personable and engaging!

Hotel is nice. It’s very centralized from everything. Walking distance to bourbon. The only bad thing is that it’s very hard to find the hotel unless you know what to look out for. No sign to the hotel other than the parking garage sign that is barley noticeable from a car.
