We stayed here last year but this time it was a very different experience. The biggest issue was that we left our room, fully locked at 10am the first morning and arrived back at 7pm to find our room door wide open. These are motel rooms, the doors are on the outside of the building and can be accessed by anyone passing by. We immediately panicked assuming our room had been broken into and started checking for passports, keys, money etc. Luckily nothing had been taken so we immediately went to report that we assumed the room attendant had left our door open after it had been made up that morning. No manager was available and we were asked to speak to a duty manager the following day. The staff were apologetic and agreed it was not acceptable but we were left feeling upset and shaken and requested not to have our room cleaned again.
Secondary to this, our vegan/dairy free requirements had been met last year at breakfast which was a reason we'd rebooked. They'd offered vegan cheese, plant based milk and even veggie sausages when we'd asked. This time, the chef suggested we try the eggs (not vegan), the normal cheese (also not vegan) or the cereal (dry i'm assuming as there was no milk alternatives when I asked) So having already prepaid almost 14 euros each, per day for breakfast when I booked the hotel, we were left with bread, cucumber, tomatoes and pineapple slices. I cant remember the last time i felt so ripped off.

Was supposed to be a non smoking hotel but the room stank of cigarettes from the ventilation. When I told the staff about this they just ignored it. The road was just outside and sounds a lot. Ok to stay one night but nothing I can recommend.

Slightly over priced for the quality of the rooms and the breakfast. Dissappointing that staff were unable to correctly wear masks over their noses, especially when they prepared our breakfast. Room was ok, basic and clean. Breakfast pre covid being a buffet i think would have better, now you have to select on a sheet what you want and the choice is a bit limited for the price paid. Over all an ok stay but have had muh nicer stays for less in other hotels in the region

Rather dated, but reliable, perfectly located next to the motorway (and well soundproofed) for an overnight stop while driving across the Netherlands, and good included wi-fi. Can't say anything about the food as we just used it to get sleep. The pillows were very lumpy but the beds and cleanliness was fine.

All members of staff were helpful and friendly. We had two meals and a ‘breakfast to go’ and found them very good.
We were touring around and found The Campanile in Gouda a very good base to do sightseeing

we found the breakfast very poor, no fresh fruit except oranges. by 8.30 most of the hot food was cold and dried out.

Very basic, beds were uncomfortable and my room had what appeared to be blood (hopefully coffee) on the wall.If you are looking for somewhere to get your head down for one or two nights on a work trip this place will do, I wouldnt recommend it for a holiday.

This hotel is very far from downtown. It felt like they were taking safety precautions like it was in a bad neighborhood (it was in an industrial complex) but they didn’t stop the drink rowdy kids from screaming and banging on doors and windows at 2:30 in the morning for over an hour. The next morning I asked if someone works overnight and since she said someone did I asked why they didn’t stop them. She said I would have to call down if it was disturbing me—um, really? Did they think everyone on the hotel was into this in the middle of the night?
In addition it felt dirty...I literally checked the bed for bed bugs. They also only gave my husband and I one towel to share between us. Good thing I was so grossed out I didn’t want to shower there!

Room was clean and cleaned daily, staff were friendly and efficient, hotel is close to motorway but noise was hardly noticeable. Hot water pressure was good , Certain areas were slightly dated but at this price it is extremely good value. Staff were available till late. Lobby had vending machines in case of emergencies !

Great location right next to the motorway very handy for all the places I had to go to. Staff very helpful. The rooms very good but could do with a a bit of a refurbishment. I slept well and was not distracted by the motorway.

I stopped in Gouda for a one night stay while going on a bicycle trip from Amsterdam to Bruges. The staff accommodated my every need and even encouraged me to take the bike to the room overnight so that it was completely safe.

The staff here were really friendly and helpful. I was given helpful suggestions about the locality and although the hotel is next to a motorway, I didn’t have any issues with noise.
Good breakfast and bar facilities too.
Safe, secure parking outside for my motorcycle was very reassuring.
