Solid hotel in an area very convenient to the main tourist sites in Istanbul. Great lobby staff (bellmen, reception, etc.). It might seem minor, but the towels were very coarse (I mean, we're in the land of Turkish towels, so step up the game a bit there, please), and the bathtub/shower was a difficult if you're at all movement impaired. Very good breakfast included. Room had all of the basic amenities. Price was competitive.

Was very noisy for an expensive room on the 5th floor where the breakfast was on the 6th and disturbed us every morning with the noise. There was no water on the last day & they kept saying they had fixed it but the shower & sink did not work. Would not recommend and regret staying there. Probably a lot of fake reviews giving it a high score.

Friendly staff, good quality hotel in a central location with a breakfast terrace with great views! The hotel offered an upgrade after declining our cancellation but the upgrade to a king room ended up being more of a downgrade to a much smaller room with a shower as opposed to bathtub and most of the space being taken by the balcony which we didn't need, especially in the cold season. Also, the light in the room entry way and bathroom area is operated by a motion sensor and keeps automatically switching on at the slight movement or trips to the bathroom. We asked for the motion sensor to be disabled but they said they could only do it the next day when the technician is here. We requested to be moved to the room we originally reserved but there was none available the first night. The next day they moved us to a room with an additional bed (for a 3rd person) which was taking up even more space in the room and this has affected the overall experience.

A lovely comfortable hotel with beautiful rooftop views. Had a really excellent stay; I cannot praise the staff enough - everyone without exception went the extra mile. I had a problem when out during the day and a member of the team returned with me to translate and help me get official documents sorted.

Okay hotel in a very good location. It doesn't give a feeling of 4-star although some of the staff delivery very good service. Others gave me at least very poor service and didn't appreciate their bad hospitality. Should look through your staff. However, the manager and two of the crew were very helpful, serviceminded and did their best to make our stay pleasent, appreciate that.

We arrived exhausted. The entire staff went above and beyond to welcome us, help us along the way, and answer every question. The hotel is walkable to every place we wanted to go, felt safe at night, and breakfast on the top level was a great way to start each day. Highly recommend.

The hotel was a great find. Absolutely elegant when you walk through the front door the staff extremely friendly. I would definitely stay there again however, I would not have dinner there. Terribly expensive! A glass of wine was $14. They referred us to another restaurant food palace, which was ended up being $55 per person, including one glass of wine which was outrageously priced and the food was not that good.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the old city from its rooftop terrace breakfast restaurant where you can see the haga sofia and blue mosque during sunrise together. Our room service worker Aliye went above and beyond to accomodate us during our stay. I enjoyed every minute of my stay and can't recommend it enough!

Excellent location near the Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. The staff were friendly and our room upgrade was unexpected. The included breakfast was yummy typical Turkish fare, and the restaurant view was incredible.

Positive: Super friendly personnel and a very clean and nice place! Breakfast was great with a beautiful view of Istanbul and room service was more than satisfactory! A lot of attractions are very close to the hotel! Negative: If you have a car, very difficult to find a place to park since the hotel is located in a very busy area. But I believe it is the case everywhere in Istanbul and the hotel staff helps a lot with parking the car! Overall I strongly recommend this place and will go to the same place if I ever go back to Istanbul!

Exceptional property in the heart of Istanbul. Clean, comfortable and friendly welcoming staff. Easily accessed by taxi from the airport & within walking distance of the fabulous cites. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of foods and the most amazing view from the restaurant on the 6th floor! Highly recommended, i will be back soon!

Great location. Property is using typical Turkish tactics by showing high discount on a high price. The hotel is average class compared to rooms available in the hotels around it. I personally walked in and checked another hotel next door and the room was much cheaper for similar quality hotel.

The location is great - safe and quiet, within east walking distance of all the Old City's sights. The staff are brilliant - probably the friendliest, most welcoming hotel we've stayed in. The room was great, but not 5 star; however, overall we would highly recommend the Sultanhan Hotel.
