Ambleside Townhouse

Beautiful property with tasteful decor and a real homely feel. The car park is a real convenience right beside the hotel. Our room was immaculate and with a very large, very comfortable bed. A gorgeous view of the hills from the window really set the scene. The room also had a bath which was a bonus. Breakfast was delightful and with a good variety of options, including avocado sourdough toast. A brief walk into the centre of Ambleside to the bars and restaurants, not far at all. We had a lovely stay here.

Top quality

This is a nice property in the Ambleside town centre and close to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious and provide tea and coffee. Staff were polite and helpful. There is also dedicated parking on site ( tight spaces). The hotel is about 10-15min walk to the marina and close to waterfalls and Rydal caves. Breakfast is decent -cereal and toast are on buffet but other items need to be ordered ( included in the breakfast cost) . Portion sizes are small . Coffee could be better ( no coffee machine). The property does not have a lift. There is no walk in shower (had bath tub with shower). Like most properties in Lake District, the rooms can be expensive during holidays.

Lovely bed and breakfast. Central for all amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great selection, from cereals to full English and was delicious. Room was spacious and outdoor seating area was more than adequate with amazing views. A little sun trap. Would highly recommend if you were visiting Ambleside.
