Pretty run down and in desperate need of renovation. Bare bones room with very uncomfortable bed. The hotel was loud with people partying late at night and roosters right outside our window woke us around 4:30am. We were only here for one night, so did not choose a nicer room. But needless to say, we didn’t get much sleep.

Great customer service from day 1 when I realised we had a 3rd floor room and due to hath reasons this wasn’t a good thing. The receptionist worked their magic and the issue was resolved.

We stayed in a 'Superior Garden Room' and loved our time here. The staff were fantastic, and incredibly helpful when I initially made a mistake in my booking. The main restaurant on site was okay, but personally enjoyed exploring other food options on the island. Spaghetti House at the front of the resort was good, as was Kikau Hut up the road. Cococktails was a 15ish min walk away and (while a bit pricey) was a lovely spot for drinks and tapas. Breakfast was included in our room, and was solid - lots of fresh fruit, cereal and toast options. You could pay for hot food but we made the most of the fresh fruit while we were in the tropics! The cocktail hour at the onsite bar however was a big hit! $10 cocktails 5-6pm - perfect after an afternoon swim. The resort offered free beach towels, flippers and snorkels. Snorkels could be borrowed for two hours at a time between 8am-5pm, and the site around the resort was stunning for snorkling. Some that we borrowed didn't quite fit or work well, but we were able to swap it without issue. The beach on the north side was perfect for lounging and swimming, and on the south side was full of beautiful tropical fish! We hired a car to get around, and were able to park on site without any issue. The bus also comes into the resort, which was also super handy. Lots of kids when we stayed but we didn't mind, and at night was quiet so could sleep soundly.

Front desk staff were amazing. Dining staff need to pay attention when placing order everytime we either ordered a drink or food at least one item was always wrong. but other than that the amenities in the rooms were great well thought out and catered to needs.

There is nothing to not like at the Edgewater, the staff are exceptional, always happy and smiling eager to please and very efficient. This plus the quality of the resort are the reason why we have been coming back for 13 years.

We were a group of 15 ranging from babies to seniors. The Edgewater was perfect for us. Easy to get to from the airport. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had garden view rooms and had a top floor.one so we could see the pool and the ocean. The gardens were stunning and most probably one of my favourite parks of the resort. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. The food was fine and we particularly enjoyed Spaghetti House. We would definitely stay again.

This Property from my experience for the 8 Days we lived there was very good, Housekeeping staff gave us a good service ensuring my family was looked after when we needed something while we were there,also the reception were very knowledgeable in answering us with any issues I was satisfied and made our family stay feel welcomed and warm atmosphere.The environment was very clean which was also a big Bonus.

Love the edgewater. With 3 kids 5 & under and the kids area I could not recommend enough. Love love love this. Mojito by the pool while the kids swim, dinner and food was delivious also. There is nothing they cant do. Love love love.

We had a Beachfront room which was very spacious with a King and Queen bed and large bathroom. The views from the balcony over the lagoon were fantastic. Overall we love the Edgewater, the staff are lovely, the onsite restaurants are great and there are other eating options close by. We rented a car from Polynesian rentals on site which was great. We had a fabulous week and plan on going back again next year!

Upon arrival there was significant roadworks being carried out at the resort. Main entry was closed and finishing reception was extremely difficult. I appreciate maintenance had to b be carried out however warning would have been appreciated with some guidance on how to access the report upon arrival. The first two days of our stay was full of dust, noise and a closed entry driveway. It really did dampen the beginning of our holiday. Absolutely gorgeous beach and an abundance of amazing beautiful, colourful fish to be seen while snorkeling only a stones throw away from our room.

Majority of staff treated us poorly. Could sit by the pool for up to 40 min watching the staff wait hand n foot serving them. We would have to physically get up to order anything. First night we were there we were told it was Island night and kids under 5 are free. We booked in had out meal and were given the bill. Both children 2&4 were charged. We questioned it and were told we signed it so it’s done kind of response. Facilities are outdated. Staff are somewhat dodgy and some staff lovely. It’s a shame some staff run for guests based on the colour of skin. My hubby is a originally from the island and treated like crap. Most guest were even driven around to their rooms in golf buggy. We dragged out bags and two young children without help. The day before we left ‘celebrities - Tour guides show’ arrived and the staff all did a huge welcome at the front like it was the norm. Would never stay here again. Haha and the pool rail!! It did under maintenance. No one was coming to fix that 😂

The staff was helpful and very professional. The property was well cared for and very clean. The food was good and the menu had plenty of options. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Cook Islands.

Our beachside room was lovely with everything we needed. Nice and cool, sea view from the patio and very quiet. Recommend these beach side rooms to anyone. Staff at the resort were welcoming, helpful and very kind. Loved our stay.

First night there my wife got food poisioning from the ika mata at the mals bar restaurant and spent all the next day throwing up. Second night our daughter got locked in one of the bedrooms because the door lock was faulty. Pool desperately needs a clean and Reception staff werent the friendliest. We wouldnt stay again. Its overpriced for what we got. The staff at the Spaghetti House are nice though.

We absolutely loved our stay at Edgewater. The perfect resort when travelling with children. Loved that we stayed in the Aitutaki Lagoon View Rooms, which was only a short walk to the pool. The Kids Club and Activity Centre was THE BEST thing a Mama could ask for. One thing I would suggest for improvement, is clear instructions / details as to how the Rental Scooters, obtaining your license and how the buses operated etc. What you need? Forms of ID verification? How much it would cost? Where to go? Where to jump off? etc

My stay got off to a bit of a rocky start, but after that it was all wonderful, such a great place to stay and I will definitely come back next time I'm in Raro! Perhaps the only improvement I can recommend is a gym.

Honestly I have to say this is the worst hotel in all of Rarotonga. The washroom smelled like a sewage system in our room. I could barely breathe when I’m the washroom from the smell not even an open window would help. The shower had three pieces of hair from different people, clearly they do a poor job cleaning the room. The dead bugs all over the room that looked mummified! The bed is not the most comfortable so be warned! The reception desk had great service and the bar/restaurant had great staff as well. Honestly I would say to pass on the this and stay at pacific resort or Kia Orana Villa and Suites.

Staff was really nice, provided excellent service. Room was nice and cool but floor was a little bit dirty and shower still had shampoo lids etc in it upon arrival. Overall great service and will be back
