Our first stay at Hotel Hætta was in 1985, and we have been back occationally through the years. The building is a very clever and pleasing example of Finnish/Nordic architecture, beautifully situated among tall pine trees by a lake. The lobby/bar/dining area is open but intimate the spa-area tempting and well kept, the rooms almost part of nature. The Hotel is calm and comforting,the staff always kind and helpful, as when the cook offered to change a flat tyre for us. And he can cook! We shall certainly be back!
