Absolutely the most friendly and helpful staff! They even have a handwritten personalized welcome and thank you note on the bed upon arrival Very clean and comfortable. Only steps away from Simpson bay beach

Parking on weekends can be very difficult. WiFi worked sporadically if at all. Nice room and beach.

Boutique hotel right on the water. Enjoy good food, beach and all around relaxation. Nice place to just stop off before you head out to another island. They have day passes for beach use as well.

This is a sweet boutique type hotel right on the beach. We had a lot of fun there. The staff is wonderful. Only complaint is that it could be a little cleaner. Ceiling fans were dusty also window shutters were dirty

I had a wonderful time. The staff works hard and are very friendly. The food is very good. The beach is beautiful, the gardens are lovely and the atmosphere is relaxing. It is right next to the airport which is convenient but can be noisy. It did not interfere with my stay. It is within walking distance to markets and restaurants. You can contact the resort if you need a taxi to and from the airport. I emailed the resort with questions and received a reply right away to prepare for my trip.

Mary's Boon was a great place with a wonderful restaurant / bar available as well. It is on a beautiful beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The downfall is the noisiness from the airport being so close. It was noisy early in the morning into the late evening/nighttime.

I have stayed here twice in the last 2 years mainly to affordability. The staff is very nice. They did change there restaurant crew as we thought the food (and price) were better in 2022. It definitely worth a stay as a waterfront property just I do not recommend staying on the bottom floor- rooms 121-124. There is a significant amount of foot traffic above and some other issues that management rectified during our stay.

This is an old property that they are trying to update. Hot water, let’s say slightly warm water at best for showering was all we ever got. When we asked about it there was no resolution. It is typical island culture, no worries, no cares and deal with it!

The staff is extremely nice and friendly. Rooms are clean but “tired”. Cupboards and in rough shape dishes and extras limited. Restaurant is excellent as is the beach !

My husband and I stayed at the property for 5 nights. We loved the ocean view from our 2nd floor balcony. Simpson Bay is absolutely gorgeous. The property is very dated and definitely needs a lot of updates. The restaurant food is a hit or miss. The office staff is wonderful, but unfortunately we had a very unpleasant interaction with the umbrella staff member on the beach. My husband went to move an umbrella and the staff member completely freaked out at us using curse words and saying he was going to get fired because of us. That interaction made us extremely uncomfortable. Otherwise, overall, the property was ok.

It was dirty. The kitchen was literally rotting and cockroaches where inside the rotting kitchens coming into the rooms. I switched room to a non rotting kitchen but still roaches. One of the ladies behind the counter told me that this is normal in the caribbean, but for the 10 years i have been coming to SXM i have never seen so many roaches as in my rooms.. The lady in service restaurant was not even able to deduct 6 50 - 3 (which is 47 by the was as we needed a calculator to do so) but she was also complaining constantly about other restaurant guests. I will not be visiting the Boon again. And i also highly doubt Mary is still alive. And if she is if she would agree with these practices.

Hotel has charming Caribbean style decor but showing its age. Certain items like window blinds need refurbishment in bedroom & there was rather tatty curtain covering glass panel in outer door. Kettle & coffee machine are provided but no starter pack with coffee, tea, sugar & longlife milk.

Didn't like the first room they put us in, and the second room had a stopped up shower and my husband fell on the slippery shower, but the shower curtain caught him before he hit the commode. The third room was ok except for the A/C not working in all the areas.

I love Mary’s Boon ! I’ve stayed many times and it’s my go to spot . The staff are wonderful . They have a cute little bar and restaurant. The beach is beautiful !

The room we were assigned (#100) was on the main walkway into the lobby across fr the pool - people traffic. The room looked like it had not been slept in for many months. There were dead bugs (cockroaches, etc.) on the floor, and cobwebs, and it just looked dirty. The cleaning staff did come in to clean, but it was minimal cleaning. Just didn't feel comfortable in this unit. The beach is lovely, and the restaurant and bar looked nice, but the room we stayed in was pretty sad. Sorry! Nice people working there.

The A C needed repairing twice Staff entered our room without giving us heads up Shower not heating never hot We were “upgraded” as told upon arrival to another room only to find out it was right next to the kitchen where the staff came out to smoke and there was constant profanity used We were stuck in our room can’t get in or out most of the time due to door sticking badly.. The maid said “push hard “ omg!

This was an awesome vacation. Staying at Mary’s Boone has always been a great place to go. Very laid-back. Very laid-back atmosphere,. Restaurant and bar awesome. I would highly recommend staying here if you go to Saint Martin.

I chose to stay at this property cuz of the affordable price & they have a pool & beach just as you walk out. However the "semi basement" room- was definitely not semi, rather a full bsmnt as if you're in the sewer underground!! Roaches, horrible humidity/smell, the last night there was a sewer back up into the shower drain & the toilet did not flush properly. I got sick from the horrible smell & pollution of all that! there's no reception past 9pm at the latest nor security past 11pm at the latest-So I couldn't even ask for another room to at least shower after being out in 105° all day. The room next door to me was a family that checked out a bit before & had the exact same complaint of sewer backup and roaches. They gave me the idea in the morning to ask for a key across the hall to shower. That room had horrible smoking smell. I complained the first day I got there but nobody moved me. A few days into it I asked the reception and she said "who will pay the difference?" Completely unheard of and unacceptable!! The surrounding staff are very nice. Never got to meet the manager. Owner was not around till the second last day. twin sisters receptionists are sweet but they def should have offered to move my room from the 1st complaint of the roaches. It's slow season/not full! I complained everyday about it & that last night of the sewer backup topped it off!!! I didn't even complain about the other small stuff! All I got was a refund for 2 of the 6 nites. Ruined my vacation..!

We have visited Mary's Boon for years, but never stayed overnight at the resort. Our beachfront studio was clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. The views out our front window were incredible! Hurricane Lee was in the vicinity, and the ocean was rough, so we ended up spending quite a bit of time in the lovely onsite pool. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Whatever issues we had were promptly addressed and fixed. The convenience of having a restaurant on the property was great on the days we didn't want to venture out. This certainly will not be our last visit to this lovely resort. Highly recommend!

Loved the view at the back of the property. Staff was very friendly and eager to assist. Our room was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a quiet place with a great view, this is it! Food and drinks were reasonably priced and delicious. Loved the "beach pets" too.

We really like the convenience of the location. We also really like being able to step out your room door and be on the beach. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bartenders are great! The food is excellent. However the resort could use some updating.

The Simpson Bay beach is the best on the island in my opinion (we toured the whole island). Mary's Boon is quaint, laid back, very relaxing. Beautiful landscaping. Food was good; well thought-out menu options. Everyone on the staff was very fluent in English, my native tongue. I also speak Dutch and French, but never had the chance to use it. The beachfront room we stayed in had a significant step-up inside the small bathroom. I tripped on it. For this 80 year-old guest, it required being contantly mindful of it when entering the bathroom or stepping out of the shower or turning away from the lavatory to exit the bathroom. The airport airstrip parallels the beach and is just behind the line of beach hotels. Don't be wary of this -- the sound of planes taking off and landing was not really noticeable/disturbing.
