We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were very friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. What I liked most was the location—just a short walk from the train station and very close to Dotonbori and major shopping areas.
The hotel is a traditional Japanese ryokan with beautiful tatami flooring, offering a truly authentic experience.
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the smell in the hallway and elevator carpets, which I feel could use an upgrade.
Other than that, everything was great! It's a safe and convenient place to stay, especially if you plan to explore Osaka's top sights and shops.

Nice reception Able to store luggage until check in at 1600. Great room. Also used the onsen Great water. It is a bit dated, although this shows you how it should be. Great stay

The taxi dropped me off next to the inconspicuous hotel door at the top of a short but winding driveway. Robot dinosaurs with meticulously traditional manners greeted me at the check-in. Once you find the translated instructions in English, scattered around the lobby, you are in an escape room trying to figure out things: where to store your luggage, how to walk to the nearby train station in the 3-D maze, how to enter and enjoy the in-house Japanese bath, and where to find human staff. As with an escape room, have faith, and know that all of the answers you need lie in the instructions. Just take that first step... And when you do, it will be extra rewarding. The instruction to get to the train station (on a tiny piece of paper) is confusing, and the human staff couldn't articulate it either. But it was actually super easy: get to the far corner of the parking lot, take the nearest stairs up as far as you can, cross over the road below you, walk towards the singular tower, when you are next to it, curve to the right side of the tower, and the train station is there. Make a left inside to reach the ticket vending machines.
