We loved staying at this castle! There is so much history there and lots to be explored. We were there off-season and it seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our room was beautiful and clean, and there were lots of choices on the breakfast they presented us. I would highly recommend this castle if you like historic properties. (Be sure to see the chapel as it is stunning!)

Beautiful place. If you ever want to feel like royalty stay here. And on Sunday we had the hotel all to ourselves. Cant give Schloss Matzen enough praise

A fantastic hotel/castle with beautiful rooms and stunning landscape surrounding it. However the lack of air condition in the room during 35 degrees outside temperature is not optimal. Beside that and the paper-thin pillows it is just a stunning place to spend a couple of days.
