Easy access to so much yet it was quiet. Places to eat within walking distance. Very clean and comfortable. Great selection for breakfast. Pool area was clean. Would definitely stay here again.

No complaints about the room. Very comfy bed and the complimentary toiletries were above average. Good breakfast too. We were awoken by kids screaming and yelling. I called the desk and the clerk said he would investigate. The screaming continued so I got dressed and went down to the desk. They were in the pool and were told to tone it down which they didn't. The desk clerk told me there nothing else he could do. The pool was open until 11 pm and tough luck. This was after a day of travel and getting up for another full day on the road. This same thing happened to us at another Holiday Inn several years ago. Teens in the pool at 1 am, yelling and screaming. The desk clerk did nothing so I sorted them out myself to their shock. We did get a discount after talking to the manager in the morning. So no more Holiday Inn for us. I doubt the head office will care.

Check in was a breeze. The hotel was updated and clean. Great breakfast which included gluten free options and also almond milk for those with dietary restrictions. The beds were comfortable and had both firm or soft pillow options. The room was a very comfortable size also.

Wonderful stay, clean and comfortable! We were able to check in early which I appreciate so much after a long day with 4 kids who need to get their energy out in the pool, so that was helpful!

Close to the major amenities of Helena. We were all very impressed with the condition of the property; including the pool area and the exercise room. Breakfast was well-stocked and very nice. Rooms were quiet and the water pressure was good. We would stay here again!

Check in was incredibly slow. Not due to the person checking me in, but a lack of staff. Hopefully not a recurring issue and hopefully a one-time issue. Otherwise, all was good!

Super overpriced considering the location. We had a view of a couple dumpsters, a homeless guys and big brick wall. Breakfast was good though. The first night we stayed we barely slept because it was so loud around us. We tried to rest in the morning but there was so much noise we couldn't. We asked to be moved to a new room and they were able to move us up to the top floor. Then we had to deal with the sound of the toilet running every few minutes. All of the emails I got confirming my reservation said check out was noon. No one mentioned check out times when we arrived and the limited paperwork they provide did not have the information either. After being harassed by housekeeping 3 times, we got a call from the front desk saying check out was 11am. So we packed up and went to check out. At the desk, I went to check out. I asked if all was well and was told I was all set. He even admitted that it was wrong online and needs to be fixed. I asked for a receipt and was told they would email it. They did not email it and would not print it for me. Later I noticed a $50 charge on my account. They did not tell me they would be charging me for the "late" check out but did it anyway. I tried to get it fixed through them but they refused to do anything about it even though they admitted the information was a mistake. I contacted Expedia/Hotels.com to help with the situation. Luckily they have better customer service and processed the refund for me.

This hotel has recently been renovated. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding in choices. Unfortunately, the blind remote, and the only way to lower the blinds was not working. With multiple trips to the front desk to try to change the batteries in the remote, no available maintenance, and no ability to change rooms. We faced the bright street lights with no privacy, and very little sleep after an exhausting long day's drive. The hotel wasn't accommodating since we booked through Expedia.

Our check-in was a disaster. Ashley embarrassed myself in front of 6 other guests and told me that my card was declined when I had prepaid and booked through hotels.com. After 90 minutes of waiting on hold hotels.com spoke with Ashely and got the situation resolved. I work in the hospitality industry and you must give your employees proper training or have a manager on duty to resolve such situations. This will be our last stay at this Holiday Inn Express.

Nice, clean hotel and friendly people. The only issue was parking… it’s horrible. Most hotels have overflow behind, but that was a loading dock for a department store… by 9:30 the lot was full and we had to park down the street. Unacceptable to not have enough spaces for ALL the guest, especially the ones coming in late from out of town!
