Congratulations on the property and amenities for the kids. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend a deeper cleaning in the rooms.

Great place. Nice rooms in a great setting surrounded by golf courses. Kid’s paradise and only a 10min drive to Cascais.

Not advised for early rising families. Children below 3 are not allowed to use the indoor playroom until family time at mid day, even if the parent is in close proximity. Our child is 2.5 years, potty trained and attends school. His only option was to go into a small room for infants at a surcharge or wet his clothes outside as nothing was wiped down. The outdoor chairs at the play area were not wiped down from overnight rain. The trampoline was wet, no night covers so kids get wet waiting for the play room to open at 9:30am. Swings and slide not wiped down either. The indoor pool only opens at 10am. Football balls were soft which shows a geberal lack of care and attention. The kids play centre closes at 16:30. I shake my head in amazement. What on earth are parents to do from 16:30? Descend all at once to the indoor pool? Imagine a hotel full of buggies and 50% of them will pass stairs to their room without a ramp. It’s disgraceful. In the evening you can order the bar menu but the tables are not setup to eat as the tables are knee height. The main restaurant only serves a buffet of very very average food or you can order room service. The purpose to visit this hotel is to have the kids taken off your hands for a short while and regrettably this is not what the hotel delivers. Mid day to 16:30 access is all that’s provided and it’s self service.

Very kid-friendly. Nice facilities and great staff. A bit out of the way if you don’t have a car.

The amenities were generally excellent. Food was expensive and some of it was of not great quality.

If you have kids under the age of about 8, this place is perfect. If, however, you have teenage kids, there is very little in the way of activities for them to do. The tennis academy wasn’t running when we were there (not enough interest), and there weren’t sufficient numbers to run other activities.

Staff overall were very friendly and helpful Monica was amazing with her care towards our stay, our daily route trips and even gave snacks for our kid to enjoy throughout the day I would just recommend providing a wider variety of food for kids Breakfast overall was ok but it could be much improved given the level and class of this hotel

Beautiful hotel. Great for families. My 7 year old described it as "epic!". There is a selection of swimming pools and a large playground. Food is quite pricey and there isn't a huge variety. But all good quality and you can eat at the nearby town of Cascais, which is lovely. Would definitely recommend.

I loved the facilities available for kids and the staff - they were super friendly and helpful - my toddler loved it!Disappointing was the food. The breakfast was standard for a good hotel - not 5* but it was fine. The pool bar food was good too and good options for kids.The pool bar closed @ 6pm and the only other option was the main restaurant. This was good for kids (buffet option and also a menu) however the quality for adults was very mediocre. The menu was over complicated and very 'chefy' but the execution and overall quality was poor. With main courses priced @ EUR 25 this was really disappointing, A meal for two came in at over EUR 120 and only one of us was drinking wine. My recommendation would be to keep the menu simple, reduce prices and focus on the quality. The food was not in line with the overall standard of the hotel.

Awesome stay in Cascais. Breakfast spread was great every morning and the staff everywhere is incredibly sweet and helpful. We booked several tours through the hotel and none disappointed. The overall facility is clean and fantastic for kids. We could have stayed for much longer. Would highly recommend!

Very well set up for families. Everything you need for children in room. Lovely breakfast, lots of options and plastic plates etc for children. Great kids club - one tip, most seemed to go in the afternoon, so this was the best time to go as more children to play with. Three different pool areas. Great playground. Staff very friendly. My only complaint.... This hotel is situated in s residential area with nothing around it. For those without a car there is a shuttle to cascais centre and beach but it costs 1.50 per person, each way. This should be complimentary, given the cost if the hotel. Other than that a great stay. I would return.

The only "issue" is that they only have 2 restaurants and the menu is limited. I only stayed for 2 days and it was ok, but if I had to stay a full week, then it would become a problem.

Amazing, very recommended!

We have recently returned from a 2 night stay at the hotel with our 11 year old. The hotel design and facilities are great. I think we discovered it a bit late, as definitely those with younger children would get the most from what was on offer. Staff are very helpful. Food was OK, with mealtimes a bit hectic given the business over half term and the number of young children ... both of which are to be expected. We enjoyed our stay and thought the area was great for a holiday.

This is s lovely resort designed specifically for families with small children. Beautiful pools, Spa and 2/3 dining options with a great breakfast buffet, and a range of activities for kids inc extensive kids club. We were the only childless couple and have suggested to hotels.com it should be correctly listed by it's given and accurate name " Martinhal FAMILY Hotel". Staff were very good. It's slightly out of town but the resort runs shuttles and it's close to the coast and has a golf course.

A fantastic hotel which caters families with younger children. The staff are excellent and attentive. We were apprehensive when booking that the hotel wasn't near a beach - don't be - the facilites are excellent and there is frequent (& very cheep) "Shuttle Bus" (Actually a rather nice Merc. People Carrier). The staff have a real passion for their job and this show in the excellent service.

We needed a weekend to rejuvenate the batteries and the Onyria and its location were the perfect answer.

A long weekend in Cascais with my better half was wonderful. The hotel is new, very modern, and the room we had was excellent. Love the wet room bathroom, large, 2 sinks, and a great bath. Our balcony with the twin sofa and table was very nice, with the sun in the afternoon, and had a really good view of the landscaping. Whilst I played 18 holes on the fabulous golf course (I was put with some really friendly chaps, we had a great game), my partner enjoyed a hot stone massage for 90 minutes, and she was in heaven. The staff we very friendly and helpful, and always ensured we had everything we needed. In the evenings we took a cab (4km tops) to Cascais which is a lovely old town with fine restaurants and lots going on. This is my 3rd trip to Cascais, and next time I may well book back at this hotel. Highly recommended.

It was a nice stay. I think it will be better in summer. Breakfast was good and includes many different tastes. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was helpful and kind. The hotel is approximately 8-10 minutes far from the city center by taxi. So if you are looking for central hotel, you should look for another hotel.
