What might be slightly lacking in the building and grounds is more than made up by a absolutely terrific and friendly staff. They went out of their way to help and guide us. They found a free ride to a tarrtaruga beach that included umbrella and chairs. They didn’t speak much English, but through efforts on our part and google translate we had no problem communicating. If my family returns to visit Brazil again, we would definitely go there again.

I suggest that front desk employees get better training on people skill and how to be professional and helpful to their clients. Originally we booked two nights stay and then decided to extend our stay for additional five nights. We booked it through orbitz for better rate, we were told by the front desk staff that there was no record of our reservation and they require a printed voucher. With no access to a printer, a printed voucher was not possible. The Argentinian clerk refused the orbitz confirmation email. He totally ignored our questions, and proceeded to talk on the phone with someone. We assumed that he was calling someone regarding our reservation. Twenty minutes later, he was still on the phone and we were just standing there waiting for answer. It took literally for me to raise my voice and ask to see a manager, and was told there was no manager on duty during that time. Eventually we were given a room and were told that the problem was their main office that was not forwarding reservation to their specific hotel.
I will never stay at that hotel, I will never stay at a place where I am not appreciated or simply greated. Front desk staff totally ignore clients, and will never acknowledge you even while standing in front of them waiting for someone to help. Wagner was the only friendly person there, but unfortunately he only worked a few nights while we were there....The staff should be sent to Ipanema Inn (Rio) to understand how hotel guest should be treated!

With it being so close to the beach, we expected a room with a view. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The view from our room was... another room.
