For visitors with asthma, I would advise to stay another place. There is a dusty carpet in the room. Cheap, polyester velvet bed blanket and decorative pillow which will make you cough more. Room is cold, dusty with the worst view (they might give a better room to you). Don't pay when checking like I did(they asked if that was ok to have all the payment upfront) so you can run away. There is dusty carpet in the corridors as well. I could not open the window. Good part is the breakfast only. Best would be to stay another hotel and look into this beautiful building from outside.

The location is outstanding, just a stone's throw from nightlife, shopping and the sporting facilities. Travel via the Central Station makes all of Gothenburg easily accessible.

This hotel is in a great location steps from the central train station. There is also a local tram stop right outside and many taxis. It is clean and well staffed and everyone speaks good english. The one negative is the pool is NOT included in the price. You have to reserve it for 2 hours for an additional 150 SEK and its not private during that reservation. Also, we stayed over new years eve and they had a large party on the main floor going to 2am. It was VERY loud and we could hear the music in our room when we were trying to sleep.

The Hotel room and restaurant were both excellent. The service in the Restaurant was excellent. The service in the hotel was abismall. Almost impossible to contact the front desk - they just do not answer the phone. One example I tried to call the front desk from the Uk - after being on hold for around 15 minutes - someone answered and immediately put the phone down. Same problem phoning internally in the hotel. I asked for my room to be cleaned and was told they could not clean the room if I was in it. Fair enough. I agreed a time. Went out, came back an hour later - no one had cleaned the room. Also could not put drinks in the bar on my room bill. I travel a lot and that was a first for me!

The room was very clean with fresh linen and towels. Disappointed with two single beds although we were aware of this when booking. We were given a bathtub AND encouraged (by sticker) to save water by showering with two people. The bathtub does not allow for comfortable showering for two, and is a safety hazard (slipping). Very good breakfast and time allowed to eat on the weekends. Staff very friendly.

Old and in serious need of a total renovation. Worst beds ever, to soft and very old. Complicated parking, no valet. Don't know what more to say, I could write a book about my stay, but it wouldn't change the fact that this hotel should be replaced with a parking facility, or a shopping mall, I will not return, and I can't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

The Clarion Hotel Post is situated right across from the central station and bus station where the busses from the airport drop off. It’s also slap bang in the middle of everything Gothenburg has to offer, shops, bars, restaurants, parks, trams. Although it’s a big hotel with quite a young vibe, it manages to have a really friendly feel. It’s quite funky with a dj in the bar, although there are other quieter bars, a couple of lovely restaurants and a breakfast buffet that is enormous. The rooms are super clean, ours had a floor to ceiling window offering amazing views of the city. There is also a rooftop pool (a small fee chargeable) and a spa. It was very busy when we stayed with a couple of conferences taking place but we never had to wait to be served in any of the bars, Norda restaurant (really lovely) and although breakfast was a little mad, we never had to wait and the vast variety of hot and cold food was constantly replenished. Will definitely stay again when we return (out 21year old design student son would absolutely love it). And would definitely recommend to friends.

Excellent location. This is the place to be. It’s on the first floor with a restaurant on side and in the back and a busy street. But is was very quiet. Lots of natural light. Lockbox is on the lower right of door, didn’t see it at first and is the very last one on lower right side. There is an entry room that has a daybed. The living room has a couch, wide enough to sleep but not very long. The bedroom has a comfortable bed. We found clean linens and more towels in the laundry room, and bedding in the wardrobe. We were able to sleep 3 adults and one tall teen comfortably. Small kitchen. Dining room with table. TV with Netflix, HBO max, YouTube. There is a washer and dryer. The dryer is ventless. You need to empty the water reservoir collector. If it is full it will not dry, it shuts off and beeps with a red light. This is common in apartments with out venting capabilities.

The hotel exceeded our expectations and we found nothing to criticise! The location is the best in the City, within everything either within walking distant or a tram or bus journey away (both outside the door). The breakfasts were outstanding. The hotel was stylish (it is the former Post Office) and everyone we encountered was pleasant and friendly.

A comfortable large hotel where we enjoyed a quiet room overlooking the internal winter garden space. Hotel fixtures and fittings were of high quality and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. All topped off by very helpful and smiley staff. Our one suggestion is that towels are changed too often - for our 4 night stay we had 3 sets of towels which we thought unnecessary. Perhaps a system of towels left on the bathroom floor for changing; otherwise hang them up and continue using.
