The economy room was pretty basic and small, wasn't keen on the frosted window in the bedroom. The breakfast was good as was the location.

I loved this hotel! The room was very pretty and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast could have been a bit more versatile, but overall really happy.

Everything about the stay was perfect. The room was clean, tidy, modern and spacious and the bed was very comfy and spacious.
There are three public carparks within 3 minutes of the hotel and i paid £5 for overnight parking at Somerset Terrace until 8am the next day.
The only niggle was that the shower took nearly 10 minutes to warm up but that was at 7pm on the third floor. Once it was warm it was a brilliant shower!

Always nice to stay here! The girls that run it are always lovely and make sure your stay is as nice as possible. Have stayed here many times now and will continue doing so!

Value for money. Situated opposite grand hotel. We could just about see sea from our room. Standard breakfast. Usual bedroom and bathroom. Clean but older furniture.

The hotel was fine but we didn’t get any sleep due to constant noise from the seagulls and also street noise. There is obviously a big problem with the gulls in this area of the town. Not much the hotels can do about this, apart from expensive glazing.

Had a lovely stay for 2 nights. Everything was lovely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Only downfall was they refused my request for fried bread to compensate for me not liking sausages or hash browns😒

Small room very clean. Breakfast included edible but wouldn't want to go out of way to get. Had a few beers and Slept well till early hrs when got a bit noisy could hear traffic and road sweeper going past from about 06:30. Dining room on 1st floor what looked an old function room all sepeate from bar. Room information states parking disc available but too late once in room didn't see anything about it when booking. Corridors and room door look poor but once in room fine. Water pipes and bathroom fan a little noisy. Nice TV. Overall fine not outstanding, if had to would book again but not for a stay of more than 2 nights and would probably eat breakfast elseware. Priced at very top end of I would pay for this accommodation had better for less. Guest house class accommodation, its not really a hotel, bar not really part of it.

Nice room just a shame woken up by another guest in the early hours trying to get in their room

Dissappointed to find out the place did not serve meals also parking availability was atrocious none available at the place itself only available by way of purchasing a parking permit and then trying to find a park somewhere else which was not easy.

We booked 3 rooms for a family visit to Scarborough for the cricket at the Dickins Bar and Inn and it was lovely.
We arrived in Scarborough at 12.30 and decided to head straight to the b&b to see if we could check in early (or at least leave our bags) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. 2 out of 3 of the rooms were ready but they allowed us to take the keys for all 3 anyway so we dropped off our bags early.
This is a really old building, the floors slope etc but this just added to the quirkiness of the place. The rooms have clearly recently been refurbished, and so have the bathrooms. They were clean, fresh and very nicely decorated.
The beds were also very comfortable.
The only downside I could give to this place is the seagulls who woke me up at 4am!!!!!!! And I struggled to get back off to sleep after that. This is clearly not something that the Dickins Inn has any control over. The town of Scarborough seems to have a clear Seagull issue at the moment as they are nesting and the streets are covered in bird poo EVERYWHERE. We have not been to Scarborough for a few years and know seagull have always been a bit of an issue here but we have never seen such mess before. I think Scarborough council need to get their act together before people stop visiting this beautiful seaside town altogether (it would be such a shame).

Surprisingly quiet considering there is a lively bar downstairs. Bed was comfy too, my friend and I both slept well in our twin room. The new bathroom was great, hopefully the main bedroom will follow with a bit of brightening up. Overall a good stay.

This was booked for an overnight stop to watch Boyzone, it looks a bit rough from outside and pub downstairs is dated, but rooms where clean and tidy. Staff where friendly and security of the building very tight.
Breakfast a bit slow and there was not many to serve.
Hotel is near the Grand, so good location for tram lift to beach and the shops are on your door step.

Good location. Beds ok but not very comfy. Breakfast nice.

Took 10 minutes for staff to come to reception.Room was okay for price except in shower room, light above mirror, extractor fan did not work and shower hose leaked more than shower head which resulted in room steaming up very quickly. A minor niggle I have is very creaky floorboards. But saying that it was only for one night.
