Let me start with the service was great! Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful.
Hallways to room were a little dark. The room itself wasn't too bad. Furniture was a little beat up but. Bathroom was very nice bright clean and roomy.
There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. I was there on business and we were provided lunch from the hote, lt was very yummy.

The hotel was nice aesthetically. We had no hot water to take a shower for two days. We had to use cold water to take bird baths during that period of time. Parking is an extra 21 dollars per day only if the parking passes work. My parking pass didnt work the first two days so I had to pay 60 dollars to park for two days.

Room was clean..but first issue really ruined most of trip. As i arrived Wednesday. Thursday did business. When i came back to room Thursday night after dinner no hot water for late shower. Friday morning same thing. No hot water. Plumber still not on site..ruined my Thursday. Needed a hot shower and shave..could not go out and do business. Unkept and dirty. Lost a lot of money. Water finally comes on after 4pm. Shower go out. Come home late. No hot water again.???? Now im worried. Will I have it Friday morning. Thankfully yes...overall water situation bad..things happen. But unfortunately it happened to me. When its really cold and can't afford to lose hot water..second alot of people have dogs. And lady at front desk is walking around petting. Rubbing dogs nose mouth. Kissing it..all this during breakfast. Then she proceeds to grab food plate immediately after. Then changes her mind..so her dirty dog hands touched plate..few minutes later guy picked up same plate. And you wonder why we have the germs we have. Worker totally had no clue..and no common sense..

Came into town for the Drake concert. The hotel was offering a free shuttle to the venue that left right before I got to the lobby. Without hesitating, the staff pulled a new shuttle around for me to make sure I got there safely. Can’t say enough for how kind and considerate the staff was here. I wish I got the gentleman’s name that drove me. Not to mention they are located right next to the PATH station for easy transit into the city. Great experience for only being there one night!

I wouldn’t stay here again. The cleanliness could’ve been better.

We have stayed here at least 20 times. If your going for a red bull arena event there's no doubt this is the best option. Very nice rooms with a kitchen. Always clean and very responsive with any requests. The staff are professional consistent helpful friendly and do whatever they can to go the extra mile. If you stay more than once there's a good chance they'll remember you. Right across from the path train to NYC or Newark. Food in the area and at the hotel is very good although somewhat overpriced. Bring some and use the kitchen or just pay the money to go to The Station or Takorea both come recommend. Go ahead and walk a little around it might be the safest 5 or 6 block radius in the whole Newark /Jersey City area. Definitely respectful and LGBT+ friendly (my partner is trans)

Amazing hotel for the price! It’s like your own apartment, great place to stay!

If you are staying during an event at Red Bull Stadium be forewarned that traffic will be horrible and your access to the hotel entrance and parking garage will be blocked in one direction

The hotel was superb, modern, clean and front staff very friendly and professional. My husband and I were attending a concert at the Prudential Center so location was very convenient. The only thing I disliked is the housekeeping staff knocking at 8:30am. Then they knocked again at 10am. Check out is at 12pm and we were just trying to get some rest. Housekeeping staff should check with front desk which rooms are available to clean to avoid disturbing guests. Also housekeeping staff banged the doors next to us so bad a few times so it was very annoying-again not quite for someone trying to get some extra sleep.

Hotel itself is quite good but not much supermarket or restaurants around. Won’t be able to sleep well due to some visitors always slammed the door so loudly but it’s not hotel’s fault.

Overall the hotel was nice. We got in super late (2am) and the person at the desk was very nice and helpful. The room was nice enough. We didn't use a lot of the amenities (kitchen etc) but everything looked to be in good condition. We did not make it to breakfast because we got to bed so late so I don't know how the food was but the eating area looked very nice.
However, the floor of the bedroom was soaking wet. Like if you jumped, water would splash. The carpet was completely soaked. There was a lot of rain the night before so I assumed something was leaking. Our socks and some clothes got wet. It wasn't the end of the world but was inconvenient and made getting in/out of the bed hard. We complained to the front desk the next morning and the girl seemed to kind of ignore it. She apologized and said we could have switched rooms (which we weren't going to do at 2am). She didn't really offer us anything to make up for it. I understand that these things happen but they didn't seem overly concerned with making it right. They did offer to comp our parking ($21), which I don't feel like we should have had to pay for in the first place.

Great hotel ideal for a pre-cruise stay easy access to Manhattan via the subway
Great service and there’s a roof terrace and gym for people staying a few days.
6.0
Pros:
- the front desk staff was kind & welcoming
- the gym has great equipment
- the breakfast food was well prepared and frequently replenished
- the location has excellent train access
- parking is practically onsite & has in/out privileges
Cons:
- housekeeping is by request, and sub par. Beds were not made or changed, trash was not emptied, there was a ton of dust around the tv and a lifetime of crust surrounding the cooktop.
- breakfast food is the same every day, not a huge deal but monotonous by day 3 or 4.
- needs some maintenance work: in the room, several outlets were dead & an overhead light was out. One elevator was out of service, and the toilet had a weird, dark liquid that bubbled up after flushing.
Overall:
A solid choice if you want a walkable option, but I expected a higher quality experience for the cost.

We normally stay at the Crown Plaza at the Newark Penn Station when we visit New York. This time it was sold out so I found this hotel. It is a much better choice for sure! The path station is a 2-3 min walk from the hotel. The area is very clean and we didnt see any homeless people around the area (unlike Penn Station Crown Plaza Hotel). They offer a complimentary airport shuttle but arrangements need to be made prior to arrival. The hotel breakfast had a good spread every morning. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that the dishwasher had not been cleaned on the inside. It had stagnant water and looked like it was getting moldy. We didnt call and complain because we didnt plan on using it. We also asked them not to clean our room the first 2 days. On the 3rd day we asked them to come and clean. They came in and gave us new towels and made the beds but they didnt vacuum the floor. Overall, we had a good experience and we would definitely stay here again.
We went to have dinner at Takorea (1 min walk) and it was delicious. We had the Korean fried chicken and some bulgogi bowls.
Five guys and Vanderbuilt restaurant are also a 1 minute walk.

The Element was an amazing find. Huge clean, comfortable rooms, across the street to the PATH train, safe neighborhood, a huge assortment to choose from for breakfast, apples, tea, and coffee in the lobby 24/7, coin laundry, happy hour drinks and cheese/crackers M-Th (we were only back in the hotel one evening to enjoy this). I will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. The 2 queen beds with a kitchen was plenty big enough. The bathroom was equally roomy. Parking was inexpensive, convenient and really close. The lobby, the restaurant/bar and breakfast were just perfect. (Good food, drinks and atmosphere). Every staff member we encountered was friendly. A sudway stop is close by(walkable) as are many restaurants and other conveniences. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Next to PATH to make a trip to NYC very easy. Shuttle to airport was also a plus. Friendly staff. Held bags after checkout so we could explore the city all day before going to the airport. We would stay here again.

It was “meh” the people were nice enough. Property felt old. A few restaurants near by but it was not a place where you could walk to anything of interest. It was close to trains to New York. Overall a mediocre, so so nothing kind of experience.

I was placed in this hotel as a last min relocation due to an issue in the original hotel I booked and I couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is super clean, offers plenty of great amenities. Centrally located right by the train station in a nice neighborhood that gives somewhat of a “ Soho “ vibe. The rooms are spacious and clean they offer a stove, full size refrigerator, dishes etc. the staff was respectful, basic.
My only hang up is the parking. There is no street parking within 1/4 mile of the hotel and the parking lot is $25 but if you self park in the same lot it’s $15, so I feel that is a little money hungry if the hotel but other than that great hotel.

I came to the Element for a quick work trip! The King Suite was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was medium firm and the bed linens were soft. The breakfast was delicious and packed with healthy options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my first time in the area, so they were able to give the lay of the land for my next trip. During my stay the property hosted a hors-devours and wine night. I was way too tired to join, but guests were having a great time. They also arranged a shuttle to the Newark airport at the end of my stay. There’s so much going right here. I can’t wait to come back and try out some of the other amenities during a longer stay.
