This hotel is a little gem! Family run with friendly, helpful staff and with people that go back year after year. 5 minute walk to the beach and the local shops. Would definitely recommend and would stay again

The breeze of fresh air at Sol by Meliá has been remarkable since my last visit. The hotel has improved significantly. Its perfect location allows easy access to all the basic essentials in Kuta, and the staff are polite, diligent, and well-mannered. It offers the best price for a holiday stay considering its location. The breakfast is exquisite, even for those with discerning tastes. Overall, I can definitely envision myself returning to Sol by Meliá."

We were not happy with our stay at this hotel. We booked through you and asked for rooms side by side with our family and also a room that was down stairs. They put us on the top floor and we were at one end of the hotel and my family was at another. We stayed there for 14 days and not once did they try to rectify the situation. We will not be staying there in the future

The sol by Melia Kuta was perfect in almost every thing we required. On a small negative pool bar 2 for one on cocktails at happy hour only if you purchase same cocktail no ability to try different cocktails only 2 of the initial purchase.Pool bar Bintang beer no 2 for I at happy hour and the most expensive Bintang we experienced in Bali.Beer is a most popular drink in Bali not many patrons at pool bar due to the beer price

The hotel was fine, I had no issues, it’s in a busy are of Kuta, which I liked, since driving is horrible, after spending the day out exploring with a personal driver, it was nice to come back to the hotel and just go to someplace near by without needing to hire transportation. It was very close to Kuta beach and there’s shopping galore. I like that it included breakfast and that the staff was able to pack us a breakfast each morning since we had to leave each day before they served breakfast.

We've stayed at Sol many times even back when it was the Kuta Beach Club , we keep coming back because the staff are beautiful nothing is too much trouble you are always greeted with a smile the rooms are clean and comfortable the location is fantastic walking distance to everything the hotel grounds are immaculate .

Great spot that is walking distance to many restaurants and shopping spots in Kuta. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast offers great variety. Our room was a generous size and comfortable with all we needed. The pool area is also great, we will definitely return next time we are in Kuta!

Spacious rooms, fantastic staff. Could do with a little more character in external areas and they would make more profit if they had menus around the pool area (and staff checking) and advertised special (ie bbq) nights. Could do this with laminated flyers in rooms.

We have stayed here 4yrs ago,the hotel has changed to Sol Melia, there were lots of small negative changes, breakfast choices limited and repetitive,best bit was fresh eggs, a dish of margarine with a knife in it to share for all! The staff were very helpful and polite. We changed room to the old building as we had paid more for a larger room but it had a ‘Juliet’ balcony.we received no refund then they wanted us to pay more to keep the room for a late checkout.we were not charged after I stated we had not asked for a refund Sadly we won’t be staying at this hotel again

Stayed in a Big Sol room. Very dated. Needs a good update. Breakfast always cold unless you order eggs or omelettes. Beers are overpriced at pool bar, $5.00 Great pool area. Overall good stay.

The facilities are very good, but the buffet breakfast was not that good (cold and most things had ran out) halfway through breakfast. Hotel tried to charge $30 for airport transfers when we booked a cab it was $3.20. Requested a double bed on booking, got an email stating this would be done, but instead had 2 different height beds pushed together. Pool area is very good, no tour desk onsite and no assistance offered by front of house staff. I would have to consider my options before staying again.

SOL Melia Kuta surpassed our expectations. We upgraded our room to Sol Xtra and were delighted to be allocated on request, a ground floor spacious room by the pools that was very clean with comfortable king bed and spotless linen. Pools were lovely with plenty of loungers. Best of all the staff were amazing, helpful, friendly smiley faces. We didn’t care it wasn’t a 5 star resort as we got awesome value for money. Thanks SOL we had such a wonderful holiday!

The hotel was well positioned close to the shops, bars and restaurants, the beach was only a few minutes' walk away. The property itself was nice, with a good-sized swimming pool, with plenty of sun beds.
