The room was clean and comfortable. Not very big but we didn't stay in the room much so it wasn't a problem. I'd go back. The common area by the bar is a bit worn down, mainly the sofas/chairs which could do with some cleaning, but I also think that given the weather it's hard to keep those clean. The bar is open 24/7 which is very convenient. However, the choice for breakfast is fairly limited (on a Saturday at 8am they had run out of toasts for example). The location is perfect to reach the meeting points for most tours.

The location of the hotel is very good, it is central, the hotel is adequate but the rooms are very small, we stayed for 2 nights, they did not clean our room and there was garbage, unfortunately, the reception and hotel staff were helpful.

The concierge were excellent and very nice people and catered for all our needs. The only significant criticisms we have are the none existence of any wardrobe space to hang clothes in and not one shelf nor a small drawer to put things in or on. When you're staying for at least four days, it's better to empty your suitcase rather than live out of it. We had to leave most things in the suitcase because there was nowhere to put anything. There was no shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on either. Little things admittedly but noticeable/frustrating things. The shower curtain was also missing but deliberate apparently. It's being looked by management to be put back into in all the rooms. A shower curtain helps because the water spray was hitting everything including the toilet paper and toilet seat. Older people would struggle to walk on a wet floor if they wanted to use the sink afterwards for fear of slipping over plus it's noticeable of how colder it is to shower without a curtain initially before the whole room warms up. Again little things but it didn't ruin our stay. Just things that make your stay easier and more enjoyable. On the plus side, we had a lovely view of the sea & mountains & when we asked Sam for a higher floor he was very accommodating. The beds are comfy and the hotel is lovely and warm. There's a supermarket very close that sells hot food when you don't want to spend loads of money on a restaurant meal.

The room is on the smaller size with the essensials. I only stayed one night so it was fine. The problem was the heater was way to hot. Temperature was fixed and we could not adjusted. We opened the window but still it was very hot. The other problem was the noise on the street. Otherwise the hotel was centrally located.

Hotel was in a great location and very clean. Its a basic hotel, no safe in the room either. We werent able to adjust the heating in the room and we both felt very hot at night at times. Terrible view but it didn't bother us as we were out most of the day everyday. Spacious room, nice layout, would stay again

As far as self service hotels go, you couldn’t get much better. Clean, cosy, warm, safe, nice staff. I think it could’ve used a slightly bigger selection for breakfasts, but what was there was still lovely :)

A great central location. The room I was in suffered from street noise, the town was pretty busy till 2am and people talking / still partying as the walked by past the hotel could be heard even with the windows closed. It is a central location though so to be expected. Good selection of snacks at reception but I’d suggest heading to a local cafe / restaurant to eat.

I usually don’t leave a review but felt very compelled to do so for this. - There weren’t enough towels for two people in the bathroom and when asked if I could receive more towels, I was asked to purchase them. There was no indication of this prior to booking and the shortage of towels was a poor planning on the hotels side. - Someone arrived to the hotel 25 minutes early but was told that they would need to wait till 3pm for check in time or pay for early check in. The woman asked if she could use the washroom while she waited and the staff said no you would have to pay for early check in. - Found hair on the blankets as if they haven’t been changed for some time but in order to get the room cleaned you would have to pay for that as well.

Only bad thing was there was a mild infestation of some weird gnats or something. If we hadn't gotten in so late we would have asked for a different room.

This hotel is a great location for walking around central Tromso. Located just blocks away from the main square, makes it super easy to get around. The front desk staff were super nice and helpful. The room were a bit on the small size. There wasn't really a good place to store your luggage and to be able to comfortably move around the room. There is also no breakfast included with the room.

I love the concept of this place and was very happy here during my visit to Tromso. My only feedback is that I had problems with self check-in at the kiosk and there was no one to help me. I then learned that the "bar" is also the reception, which is where I got help with check-in. A note at the kiosk stating that assistance is at the "barception" would be helpful. Thank you!

it was ok for the price. they supposed clean my room once during my 7 days stay but they didn't. i asked the staff that the room heater was not working well and was told that someone was going to check but it didn't happen.

I wouldn’t book this hotel again. We only got 2 towels (not even hand towels) and they said we had to pay for another one. For $288, I would expect to have towels. Coffee in the room, and towels. There weren’t even cups for us to have tap water. Thank god we had one reusable bottle but during the middle of the night we had to keep passing it back and forth which kept us away. I would not book this hotel for the price.

I booked this hotel for myself and my son for a short stay but ended up finding a more suitable hotel as it was grubby and the sheets were dirty. In my opinion this is not a 3 star hotel it would be a 2 star - very disappointed - although the view into the dental surgery opposite was educational.
