Beautiful getaway with wife enjoy the hotel very much. The only thing that was of was the food there is on 2 restaurant in the island and the food @ the hotel was prepared by student from abroad. Not chefs and for that kind of hotel i believe there should be a chef preparing food for guests. But and amazing experience.

We had a wonderful gathering of friends at Diamond Cove. It was delightful on all fronts! Lovely accommodations, good food, and a very helpful staff! Thanks you.

Amazing getaway !! This island and the hotel was the perfect vacation we needed!

Fabulous! Have never been to great Diamond but I’m coming back!!! Just based on an extraordinary 24 hours at the Inn. Dinner was great- and the waiter Narcis was my favorite part of the trip. A phenomenal guy!

Beautiful and serene inn. The ferry is a little inconvenient but if you want to be out of the city, it is well worth it!

We had a great stay at the Inn at Diamond Cove. It started off a little rough as we couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone on the day of checkin. This made our transfer to the island a bit complicated. After several attempts we finally got someone and worked everything out.
We then discovered the main restaurant on the island was closed for the season so only the bar cafe was open. We learned the hotel was closing after our weekend there. The food was good but they had a hard time handling a gluten free guest. The smell in the upstairs hallway wreaked of a really strong perfume that was annoying. This is apparently pumped into the ventilation system. Otherwise we enjoyed the location, walking around the island, and the ambiance of the hotel. Would definitely come again in season, not the last weekend they’re open.

They have very impolite management here. Their policy specifically stated that they have an outdoor pool open until 9 PM and he came and he shouted at me at 7 PM to get out. And he didn’t take responsibility for the fact that his policy was outdated. Mind your manners next time.

We went for two nights for an anniversary trip, and it did not disappoint! The inn was adorable, modern, and clean. The food was awesome, and the amenities were great! It was the last weekend of the season so it felt weirdly quiet, but was the perfect getaway!

The manager, Manny was great! Went out of his way to take care of guests. A lot of hardworking and personable staff. Clean rooms. Would be fun to have some activities on the grounds- locals should be happy to have this property on this island.

Gorgeous walking trails, relaxed friendly atmosphere. Some of the hikes are no longer accessible due to private construction - updated maps would be helpful.

Great property- just know that you are on an island, reachable only by ferry or boat

Very hard working yet understaffed employees. Hot tib non functional and heat out on swimming pool on best day for swimming. No housekeeping. Just unacceptable at price point.

consumer beware... this is on a Island and there are no cars permissible there. the booking did not disclose this. Cove is not the same as Island.
WE never saw the property so I cant speak of the stay. They refused my refund then agreed to refund some of it. but kept 580 for the first night. DO your research so it does not happen to you. Hotels.com did not state this at all. I reviewed my booking!!!

it was an amazing trip and excellent stay. Rooms were comfortable and excellent service. There are few dining options on the island but food was great at all. I will definitely recommend a short stay at the Diamond Inn.

Stayed there for three days. Lovely inn with a young, enthusiastic staff. Definitely a staff shortage, but that is an industry-wide problem. The inn hired college aged Eastern European personnel who were both pleasant and attentive. Limited activities at the resort and on the island, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It gave my wife and I more time to read books and sip cocktails on the relaxing patio.

We loved our stay at the Inn at Diamond Cove, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, the on-site restaurant was super convenient and the pool and hot tub were beautiful. We were also able to use the ferry to get to some of the other neighboring islands for fun day trips. We will definitely be coming back!

The Inn and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. The staff were very pleasant and helpful though it was apparent they were doing multiple jobs. It should be noted that there are very limited activities for children. It has a very calm and relaxed vibe that I found very appealing.

First of all, it wasn't clear to me when I booked that this property is located ON AN ISLAND. That completely changed the feel of our vacation. It was a unique experience and there were many nice aspects about staying on the island, but if you want to spend time in Portland, understand that you will be either paying for an expensive water taxi or tied to a ferry schedule. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was lovely (even though I don't think we spoke to a single employee over the age of 25, which was interesting). However, the amenities are quite outdated and not what we pictured. The "fitness center" is filled with old equipment, the "arcade" has one functioning video game, the "bowling alley" is candlepin bowling where you have to set up the pins yourself, and the bike rentals are for no less than six hours at a time. Oh, and the fireplace in our room did not work. If you are aware of all this and still think it sounds like something you're interested in, you'll probably have a wonderful time. For us, while it didn't ruin our trip by any means, if we had to do it over again, we definitely would have picked a place right in Portland.

The staff was friendly and tried their very best. There was confusion, however, in directions for parking, arrival, and general workings of the hotel. As sweet as the Island is, as nice as the rooms are, many of the other amenities were substandard, the hotel is understaffed, and general confusion abounds.

I work a lot. Like a lot a lot. This was my first get away in quite some time and I got exactly what I needed. A stay full of rest and relaxation, surrounded by historical beauty. The staff is all friendly and very accommodating. We arrived late and were first greeted by the executive chef. He helped us with our luggage and asked if there was anything we needed. I had two hungry kids with me and although we had arrived well past closing time of the restaurant, he instantly offered to fire up the ovens and make us some delicious flat bread pizzas. I can’t even begin to express how grateful we were. We had the pleasure of eating at the Diamonds Edge restaurant the next night and the menu was amazing. The charcuterie board was full of delicious options and the Scallop dinner was superb. I also recommend the tuna tacos.
The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay exactly what we needed. I highly recommend this location.

Inn is set on a beautiful island, perfect for a weekend getaway. Rooms are well sized and tastefully decorated as well as comfortable. Service was above expectations with staff being very friendly and personable. Not so much about the inn, but beware island does not have many food/ restaurant options so you may want to bring certain items if you dietary restrictions, etc.

Location is great...peaceful and serene. NIce clientele to socialize with, but also nice secluded places to discover on Island for privacy. Restaurant staffing problems limited breakfast choices, but Portland easily accessible for fantastic food options. Bring some breakfast/snack food for a small refrigerator if possible. Inn staff very friendly and ready to serve.

I don't want to write a bad review. But the property advertisements are deceptive. Recently bought by a corporation, they were understaffed, the pool was very small and dirty, the facilities such as the arcade and bowling were old, had no air conditioning, and decrepit. Guests do not have access to the carts, and so if you have an older guest like ourselves, you have to request a ride every time you want to go anywhere on the island/resort. The bar closes at 9pm? We only had access to one restaurant (which was closed several days of our stay), and had to eat turkey sandwiches everyday. didn't expect to go food shopping on my vacation. While we generally had an okay time, I was unhappy to discover overcharges and duplicate charges on my account statement upon my return (there was no-one available to check us out on our departure at 8am). Some real nice people and land here, but I am not sure I would recommend with current management.

I thought it was like a resort, but it is more like a fancy summer camp. The restaurants there don't open until Wed-Sat. Fortunately we arrived on Tuesday. But instead of giving the guests a good decent meal, the hotel charged everyone $20 each and had the hotdog and hamburger night with very limited stuff. Everyone in our family felt it was like a summer camp, and cannot believe they charged $20 for that, If it was $10 each, I would not complain. There was also some mistake about how Hotel.com says and what the hotel is. Hotel.com says we would have 3 rooms, but when we got there, there was only one bedroom and another sofa bed in the living room, Fortunately one guest could not come at the end, otherwise we could not do this! We enjoyed the island, but 3 days is enough. There restaurants are super expensive. But there was nothing else you could have, not even a grocery store. Keep all these in mind.
