It was ok. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The tub did not drain well so when showering you ended up standing in water. The issue was reported but nothing was done to fix the drain. The shower head didn’t provide much spray. The breakfast grab and go just had the basics It would have been nice to have a small pad of paper and pencil in the room They are renovating the rooms so hopefully the issues will be addressed.

Had a great weekend ski trip with the family. The Aspen is located on a beautiful property and is so close to the town of Manchester and about 30 min from skiing at Stratton Mountain. We got a really great rate for our stay and couldn’t be happier. The rooms are a bit out of date but this place has so much charm! It fit our needs just right.

We picked up our envelope at the front dest just to find out that we had no power in our room. For two hours we were trying to reach someone to solve the issue, as there were no staff personnel anywhere, then a girl reached to us and together we were looking for an electrical panel across the complex. Fixed the problem, but expect ecerything in working order when i check in the room. Breakfast is mediocre, actually, kne of the worst we had in many places we stayed. Once again, no staff anywhere, self serve breakfast and when something runs out, its done, noone is filling un the baskets or coffee mugs. Lobby with fireplace was closed around 7p.m and we found few local guys, who dont work or stay at the hotel, just watching the game and drinking bourbon, locking the lobby for personal entertainment. Overall, poor management and lacking organization for the price they are charging per room i was expecting much more.

This had to have been on of the worst stays I’ve ever had. I come in after a long day of riding to the shower being clogged, hairdryer not working (they never fixed this), refrigerator not working (they never fixed this either), only one coffee cup (I put down two people for the room), no tissues, missing smoke detector, and the room was very dirty with mold in the bathroom and stains on all the curtains. I stayed two nights for $281, this was very expensive for what I got, and they only gave me $50 back. This was one of those creepy old motels you see in the movies where it looks like you’re going to die. I traveled solo and the curtains did not even close all the way and I felt like people can look in very easily. Also the breakfast food was always out by the time I got there (830am, which is still early). Overall- will not stay here again.

Very nice place; convenient and affordable. Check in and out was easy and for breakfast they had some bagels, cream cheese, OJ and fat free yogurt. Nice people work there as well. The room was super warm and heated at my arrival and had everything I needed.

Overall pleasant experience. Stopover on our way to go skiing for the day. Bed was a little on the soft side, few spots where the wallpaper was starting to peel and a little bit of mold starting to grow in the bathroom due to humidity. Room was clean, older styling. Heat was cranked up when we arrived and never really cooled off once turned down. Shower head was nice, but too large for the size of the shower in my opinion.

Great location, easy to get to all the shopping and dining areas in Manchester. Awesome service as well, I asked for a hair dryer and it was delivered to me within 10 minutes! Good brand of shower gel, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. With that said, the bed is way too soft and the walls are soooooooooooo thin. We could hear everything from outside to what our neighbors next door were doing and saying. They partied until 10:30pm, smoked weed (which we were able to smell strongly), and thankfully passed out shortly after so we could finally have some peace. I would recommend this place if it's a short 1-2 night stay, but for longer stays, look somewhere else.

The hotel had charm. The room was mostly clean but i wound up with a queen and twin bed, fairly certain 2 queens were booked. There was black mold in the bathroom.

The Aspen seems to be having a staffing problem. They put out a sad little pile of extra toiletries on a bench and then pretty much abandoned their hotel for the weekend. Call backs were ignored or next day. Posted office hours are not honored. I’ve stayed before and had a much better experience. The beds were also so creaky that we were waking each up all night with any movement. The rest of the property looks nice. Just needs to be managed.

Aspen at Manchester was a delightful, vintage hotel and a throw back to motor inns from my childhood. With the paneling and flowered curtains, it was a bit like staying at grandma's house--in a good way! We were close to attractions that we wanted to see and Manchester was probably our favorite place we visited on vacation. Give it a try!

Old fashioned road side motel. Beautiful piece of property with a lot of potential. I expected the 'mom-pop' style and charm, however, bedding and furniture could use upgrading. Our friends sid their bed was really good. My wife and I couldn't rest well on the overly soft, uncomfortable King Bed in our room.

We had no idea this was a motel. The website is misleading. There was no office staff at 4 pm. The bathtub water backed-up. The motel was clean but it felt old and creepy.

Front desk guy seemed like we were interrupting him and quickly pointed us to the envelope outside the door. Room was quaint but beds were extemely loud and could hear guests using the bathroom next door.

Last time we were here friendly dog and couple met us at the door. No such luck this time. Waited 30 minutes in car before host appeared. Put in cabin near woods. Seemed like many other cabins were available. Still a beautiful property but rate is ridiculous. We love our Manchester, especially the bookstore, but we will try another place next time.
