Room was comfortable (twin beds) though windows needed cleaning and no longer open (screwed down), large TV ok with a very limited set of Astro Satellite channels. Small fridge but it did not have an ice box so you need to ring down to have ice sent up. Room service includes a scaled down version of the 4th floor restaurant menu. Pool with bar on the 4th floor too also serves the same food. Draught Guinness (500ml pints) was very good with view of the river and China town area. Underground parking good and connected to the shopping mall in the same building so it can be busy. Staff were helpful and smiley. Close to the main river waterfront area as the name suggests but also close to bars and restaurants in side streets. Only downside was being close to open areas where festivals sometimes mean noisy music in the mornings. Overall not bad.

We stayed at The Waterfront Hotel for 10 days during the WYC 2026 Bowling Championships, and it was an excellent choice.
The location is fantastic, with the waterfront, plenty of restaurants, and local attractions all within easy walking distance. After long days at the bowling center, it was great to have a relaxing area to walk around and unwind.
The shopping mall connected to the hotel was very convenient, and we also enjoyed the pool and gym during our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel provided everything we needed for a comfortable 10-day stay.
We would definitely stay here again when visiting Kuching.
